ೃ⁀➷ only you, my girl
- ,, neteyam x fem reader
- ,, you think neteyam is extremely attractive, others do too , its fine! you get it! but what happens when they cross a line ?
- ,, warnings - neteyam is head over heels for u, jealousy and the attitude that comes w it, fluff , all this happens before the events of awotw.
-‘๑’- dark red - steve lacy
Neteyam has always shown so much interest in you, and made his courting so obvious, but why do people still not get the damn hint?
Currently you are walking on a huge tree branch, high above the ground, with Lo’ak, Kiri and Spider. Neteyam isn’t here, much to your dismay, because he has “ Future Olo’eyktan duties” as Lo’ak likes to call it.
“it’s almost eclipse, let’s start heading back” Kiri mentions and for once, Lo’ak and Spider agree and make their way home without causing too much of a fuss
“woah guys, you barely even whined about having to go back home so early today, whatsup?” you question laced with sarcasm as you hear Kiri chuckle and nod in agreement with you.
“we don’t want to keep you away from your boyfriend for too long y/n, we all know how cranky my brother gets without you” Lo’ak adds and Spider cackles, thinking this is so super funny.
You shove Lo’ak and tell him to shut up, and that Neteyam’s not your boyfriend, and he doesn’t get cranky.
Your relationship with Neteyam was quite.. obvious , yet complicated. Both confused teenagers in love yet don’t know how to confess it, nothing was official, but everyone knew you were off limits, you were Neteyam’s girl.
you are clutching your stomach in pain from laughing too hard when you enter the Sully’s cave, wiping a tear from your cheek wondering how on pandora could someone be so stupid as lo’ak and spider.
You hear the laughter die down and your eyes set on a pair sitting together in the gathering room of the cave, Neteyam and Rini.
You eye both of them in confusion, so does Lo’ak, Kiri, and even Spider. You feel butterflies fluttering in your stomach but not in the good way, you don’t like how close Rini is to Neteyam.
“Guys, Rini caught me on the way back to our cave and said she wanted to hang out with everyone, hope no one minds?”
The four of you shake your heads and make your way to the pair to sit down with them. It was odd, Rini wasn’t good friends with any of you, maybe Neteyam? No, you would know. Why does she suddenly wanna hang out with us? Neteyam is often times too nice to say no, maybe he couldn’t deny her? You wonder if the others question the same, and maybe they do, judging by the looks on their faces.
“y/n” you hear your name in neteyam’s voice, he pats the spot next to him, the opposite side of where Rini is sitting, you don’t want to sit next to him, to be petty, but you oblige anyways, oblivious to the female na’vi glaring daggers at you, Neteyam gives you a bright smile, now that you got his attention, you’ll have it the rest of the night.
Neteyam embraces you in a warm hug, his hands sneaking around your waist as he whispers into your ear “missed you, you look good”
you smile shyly and open your mouth to thank him, but someone else beats you to it
“Neteyam! This cut on your arm looks terrible!! Are you okay? How’d you get it?!”
God. Her voice is annoying, why is she yelling? Neteyam is literally next to her?
You eye Kiri and she rolls her eyes at Rini, you stifle a laugh and Neteyam notices, smiling sweetly at your antics, momentarily forgetting Rini was even there, until he is bought back to his senses.
“Oh this? It’s nothing just a scratch”
“Do you want me to patch it up for you?”
Your eye twitches, you try to have a normal conversation with the other three, trying your best to ignore the two sitting right next to you, but Rini makes it unbelievably hard with her screeching voice.
“No I’m g-“
“I insist” Rini touches Neteyams shoulder and gives it a squeeze, you look at Neteyam and he knows it, you’re pissed. You stay quiet and enjoy the show infront of you.
“I’ll have y/n help me later Rini, it’s alright.”
“Oh- Oh yeah okay” she deflates, but you have a feeling deep down, this girl isn’t giving up so easily. You wonder who put her up to this. Her mother? Grandmother? Friends? Toruk Makto’s eldest son’s mate does have a nice ring to it, despite the length, but that title’s yours, she knows it.
You all are laughing at Lo’ak and Kiri arguing about who Spider likes better when Neteyam rests his head on your shoulder. You feel your stomach explode with butterflies again, the good kind.
“Tired?”
“mhm” Neteyam mumbles, you reach your hand up to the braid dangling infront of his face and move it behind his ear. Your romantic little moment is interrupted yet again by the same culprit from last time.
“Neteyammm, it’s so dark! Will you walk me to my cave?” Rini latches onto Neteyam’s arm and gives him a little tug thats powerful enough to have him pulling away from you and get him to stand up.
“Uh-“ Neteyam looks at you for approval, you’re not looking at him, instead opting the floor was a better option. Neteyam is no fool, he knows why you’re upset, he gets it too, if some random man was leeching onto you like Rini is, he’d be upset, hell, he’d be crazy. He doesn’t like that expression on your face, he doesn’t like when you’re sad, because of him too.
Neteyam look’s over to Lo’ak and Lo’ak immediately gets on it. “Bro don’t worry about it, Kiri, Spider and I will walk Rini to her cave, we know you’re tired and wanna be with your girlfriend”. Lo’ak smiles and winks at his older brother.
This throws Rini offguard.
“Thank you guys. Rini, see you around”.
“Awh Neteyam it’s a shame you couldn’t accompany me, y/n keeps snatching you away from me and if i’m correct.. she isn’t even your girlfriend.. you should spend more time with me and my friends!” Rini smiles slyly, her tone innocent but her intentions show clearly. Rini hugs Neteyam and whispers something in his ear, which you’re sure she said loud enough for you to hear on purpose.
“If you ever do need a mate that will actually commit, you know your options” she winks and pulls away from his embrace as the group starts to walk outside, irritated.
You stand up abruptly and walk past Neteyam who stood there dumbfounded.
“Y/n” He grabs your wrist to stop you from walking any further.
“Let go Neteyam, I wanna go home” You hate how wobbly your voice sounds when you speak right now.
“y/n, are you crying?” He sounds so worried it makes you even sadder
“i’m sorry baby, im sorry, i didn’t know she was gonna act like that” he pulls your head into his shoulder and strokes your back comfortingly.
“don’t call me that.. im not your girlfriend, and i don’t care how she acts” you say, though your tone and quivering lip betray your words
“y/n..” he pulls you away and cups your face with his gentle hands, afraid he would break you if he was any less gentle “cmon look at me” you meet his gaze and his eyebrows furrow at the sight of your slightly red but watery eyes
“you know you’re the only girl i ever want right? you’re so special to me y/n..why don’t you see that, i want you to be mine so bad, every morning i wake up and pray to Eywa to finally have let you see how desperate i am for you. why must you let someone like rini ruin your day?”
you sniffle, and Neteyam thinks its so cute he could kiss you right now, but he holds back.
“but i am yours nete” you say, unintentional doe eyes looking up at Neteyam that make him melt, he can’t hold himself back anymore .
Neteyam leans towards your face, held by his hands, and he stops right infront of your lips, asking for permission, waiting for disapproval “kiss me y/n” it sounds like a plead, like he’s almost begging, so you do.
you feel your head explode, his lips are so soft, so perfect against your own and you question why you didn’t do this before.
you pull away but neteyam chases after your lips and captures them again. You finally pull away and rest your forehead against his. Neteyam gives you another kiss that lasts shorter than your previous, “i see you, y/n”
you look up at him through your eyelashes and smile slowly
“say it back” he whispers against your lips and you almost give in.
“are you sure? you don’t wanna explore your other options?”
“you are the only option, ever.” you smile.
“i see you, neteyam” and you kiss him again, he whines into your mouth and you have to stop yourself from giggling at the sight of our future olo’eyktan being putty in your hands.
- you hear a sob from outside and later realize Rini stayed behind cuz she thought Neteyam would leave you and go after her but oh was she wrong
- loak, kiri, and spider dont even realize rini is missing and they start talking shit abt her once they know shes gone
- anytime rini saw u and neteyam after this, she would always have her fists balled up and bottom lip quivering
- she thought she still had a chance with neteyam after her eavesdropping on his confession but everytime yall hung out neteyam would be so clingy that eventually she realized he was too inlove with you
- fuck u rini hah hes mine btch

hi! could i request neteyam x human fem! reader who's on her period? like how does he deal with it and her mood swings, cramps, etc. and does he kind of freak out like?? blood?? coming out for your part?! for the sake of this request lets say that the na'vi don't have periods(lucky them). thank you <3 fluff if you don't mind :)
Pain Is Inevitable, Suffering Is Optional
Pairing: Neteyam x reader
Summary: How Neteyam learned about periods and how he makes reader feel better during them
Word Count: 462
Warnings: periods, mention of blood, pure fluff <3333
A/n: idk if i like this, but I hope you do! And thank you so much for requesting!
Masterlist
Periods were a foreign thing to the Na’vi. Not having them themselves made it hard to understand how bleeding for a week every month was natural.
Neteyam was no exception.
When he first heard about periods, it was from Norm of all people. It was no secret to the people of the lab that Neteyam was in love with [Name]. He often made it very obvious from the way he looks at [Name] like she is the only one that exists to the way he never seems to leave her side unless necessary. But because of all of this time Neteyam spends with [Name], he gets to see all sides of [Name]. Including the moments when the mood swings hit hard.
That was the first change that Neteyam noticed between her as a kid and in the recent years.
He didn’t notice it quite at first, hoping that [Name] was just having a bad day the times that she got snappy or would just cry over stupid things. But when she started crying over a flower having no leaves, despite that species having no natural leaves anyway, he finally wondered if something was wrong.
He then quickly took to observing [Name] as much as he could, more than he usually would if that were possible, and started to notice a pattern.
Every 28 eclipses or so, [Name] would start this cycle of apparent pain in her stomach, mood swings and increased sudden needs to use the washroom.
This really bugged Neteyam because he couldn’t understand why she was behaving like this. So he went to his father.
He father spoke quickly and casually, not fazed at all, telling him that it’s “that blood thing” and to go ask Norm.
Neteyam, in a state of panic over the word blood, rushes to Norm immediately.
Upon asking Norm, Neteyam finally learns about periods. And although it seems strange to him at first, he is determined to not let anything hurt his love.
The moment [Name] even mentions having cramps, Neteyam leaps into caring boyfriend mode.
Neteyam has a whole routine every time, and every time he is excited to help.
He starts with bringing [Name] back to the lab, he starts with cuddles as she waits out her cramps. Then he moves on to preparing her favourite foods and snacks so that she isn’t hungry. After that, Neteyam lets [Name] vent while she enjoys her food. Letting her express all of her emotions openly and comforting her where ever he can. And when [Name] gets tired, he makes sure that he stays holding her all night.
Neteyam always wants to make sure that [Name] feels the best, and although he doesn’t fully understand periods and he might never, he is always ready to help.
A/n: Sorry if it is short! I never know what to think about period fics! Anyway, thanks for reading! And I hoped you enjoyed! Also feel free to request! I love hearing them. Here is the request guidelines! <3333

The Key To Your Heart - Track 10
Pairing: Pedro Pascal x Musician!Reader
Series Summary: After writing your feelings for Pedro into a song, it gains a lot more popularity than expected. Ultimately it brings both criticism and support, with new possibilities around the corner.
Series Warnings: 18+ only (MDNI). Alluding to sexual scenarios. Kissing. Panic/Anxiety Attack. Fat shaming, name calling. Mentions of food, weight loss, weight gain, dieting, weighing, potential eating disorder, food guilt. Potential for puns/dad jokes (name of my blog, and the fic) should give that away. This is my first fic which should be its own warning, lol. Also some cursing. Mentions of masturbation (f). Sadness, reader is pretty depressed. Poor body image. Rude people. Bullying-ish and just lack of support? Anxiety. Age gap! Reader is in her mid 20's, Pedro is current age (48).
Other stuff: Reader is plus sized. AFAB. Inexperienced. Also has a dog, but you can pretend it is another creature probably. Further, in case it isn't clear, italics almost always are the reader's inner thoughts!
Word Count: 6.6k
Series List: Here!
Miss Track 9? Here!
Hi!!!! Once again I want to apologize for taking so long with this. I can't seem to ever stay awake to do anything. That being said, here it is! This is the last main chapter of our little lovebirds. There will be at least one, likely two bonus tracks coming soon though :) Also there's a smidge of Spanish in here from Pedro, but the translation is included in the end of the sentence. I took some Spanish classes back in the day but I don't speak it and had to use Google translate. So if it ISN'T right and you do speak Spanish, please let me know lol. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these little cuties on their first date. There's a lot, a lot, a lot of kissing in here (sorry...) and overall they're just grossly in love lol. Please let me know what you think, and if you've seriously read this far, I LOVE YOU! This is my first series, and honestly my first fic other than the one I wrote in my diary lmao. Like the reader, I am incredibly inexperienced so writing a relationship has been a bit of a challenge and half the time I don't believe the actual words I'm writing. But I really only started writing it as a way to write down my daydreams :) So to have support means the world to me, and hearing people comment/DM me saying how much they relate has meant so much and makes me feel a lot less alone, because ultimately, it doesn't matter how fictional it is, most of reader's feelings are my own. To anyone else in the same boat, I get you! Hang in there. I think there's a Pedro out there for us all. Someday. Anywho, pardon my ramble. Thank you for reading, I hope you like it. ❤
The next morning, you woke up and stretched your limbs, rolling over in your comfortable bed as the sunshine poured in through the window. At the shuffling of your body, Skipper groaned, wiggling a little in bed, nearly shoving you off the edge. You reached for your phone, blinking through your sleep a couple times before seeing a text from Pedro. “Good morning beautiful! I can't wait for our date today. I was thinking maybe we could start around 2:30 and spend the day together, if you'd like. But if that's too much, we can just make it a dinner date. Up to you which you would prefer. I understand either way. Love you ❤️”
He wants to spend the whole day with me!? And he sent me a good morning text and called me beautiful? Then signed it with a heart and love you?!!!! How did I get this man?
Your grin eclipsed your face, making you squint. If Mr. Grumpybutt weren't sharing the bed with you, you'd probably squeal and kick your feet. Tapping your phone screen, you typed out a reply. “Morning handsome ❤️ I would love nothing more than to spend the day with you. I love you too!” You sent the message before crawling out of bed gently, receiving a dirty look from Skip.
“Alright Grump. Go back to bed. Geez,” you laughed. If looks could kill, you thought. He turned back on his side, letting out a grumble and sigh, resulting in a laugh from you. Acts like he pays rent and works 40 hours a week…
You took a relaxing shower, making sure to be all nice and fresh for your date with the man of your dreams. While brushing your teeth, you noticed he had replied. “Great, I can't wait. I'll be at your place at 2:30. :)”
“Can't wait to see you. What do you have planned? I'm wondering how to dress.”
“Wear whatever you feel good in, baby. I'm sure you'll look amazing. Probably something casual you can walk around comfortably in for the day. Maybe something a little dressier for the evening, but you don't need to carry it around. We will make a stop at your place before and you can change”
Wow he really has this planned out.
“What have you got planned, P? This sounds elaborate. You know you don't need to put in all that effort, I'm already yours ❤️”
“You deserve the world, my love.”
Dressed in a pair of leggings and a light sweater, you felt reasonably cute while still being comfortable for whatever activity Pedro had in mind. Plus, with the crisp November air, you would be nice and warm. You were just finishing tying your sneakers when your doorbell rang.
You opened the door to find your handsome boyfriend standing on your step, a bouquet of red roses in his hand. “Mi amor,” he handed you the roses, kissing your cheek and hand. “Thank you Pedro,” your cheeks heated. “Come in,” you pulled his hand across the doorway towards the living room. Skipper pushed past you to investigate, causing Pedro to drop your hand.
“Well there he is! That handsome boy!” Skipper’s tail wagged and his butt wiggled as Pedro crouched to give ear scratches. “Oh, I love you too,” Pedro answered when Skip kissed his face frantically. A fit of giggles erupted from Pedro, making your heart swell with joy. He has the cutest laugh, and the fact that your dog is causing it was surreal.
“You're just a beautiful boy! Aren't you?! Hermoso, igual que tu mamá,” he held Skipper’s face, kissing his nose. (Beautiful, just like your mama)
Your chest was filled with butterflies. Holy shit, he's charming. “Thank you, Pedro,” you said in a whisper, not even sure if he would hear. Turning his head from your dog, Pedro looked up at you, giving you a gentle smile; but the eye contact was quickly torn away when Skipper pressed a needy paw to Pedro's chest. Both of you now giggling, Pedro continued to pet Skipper, stopping to give him a hug and some more nose kisses.
“Alright. I gotta ask…” you prompted, causing Pedro to turn his head towards you again. “Are you just dating me to hang out with my dog?” You smirked.
Pedro turned back to Skipper, speaking in a low voice. “She's catching on to us buddy. We've been made.” You burst out laughing, Skipper looking over at you as if his plan really had been foiled.
Pedro gave a final pat on Skipper’s head before standing and walking over to you. “Nonsense,” he pecked a kiss to your lips. “I do love that sweet boy of yours,” he replied before turning his face to whisper in your ear. “But I'm absolutely enamored with you, Mamacita.” The hair on your neck stood as a chill rushed down your spine. You bit your lower lip, and he stared back into your eyes, leaning in for a passionate kiss.
“You look beautiful,” he tucked your hair behind your ear.
“You look rather handsome, yourself,” you replied. His hair was brushed back and to the side, his curls neatly swept and threatening to break free around his face. You wondered whether he asked for help to make his hair look extra nice for your date or if he styled it himself.
Running your fingertips over his patched salt and pepper beard, your hands found the small heart shaped patches near his chin. You brushed your thumb over his jaw before leaning in to press a kiss on the bare skin, causing his eyes to close as he let out a sigh. The whiskers tickled your cheeks as you continued kissing up his jawline, back across his cheek, and on his nose before pulling away to look into his eyes.
He opted to not wear glasses today, allowing you a closer look into his deep brown eyes which were softening under your gaze. “You ready to go, baby?” He asked you, his hand on your hip as he rubbed circles with his thumb.
“Absolutely,” you smiled. He wore a pair of dark jeans, tennis shoes, and a white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled to his forearm. He looked absolutely… incredible.
While you were grabbing your bag, he grabbed Skipper's leash. “Is Skipper coming too?” You asked, confused.
Skipper was twirling now, impatient to go somewhere.
“Sure is! Couldn't leave him out. But don't worry, you and I will have the night to ourselves,” he winked.
You looked downward, feeling shy and flushed. “Okay,” you giggled, clipping Skip to his leash and heading for the door.
“Do you want to take my car? You'll get dog hair and slobber in yours,” you offer.
“I don't mind! I love dogs,” Pedro replied, opening the door for Skipper to climb in the back seat. After closing the door, he opened the passenger door for you. Such a gentleman, you thought with a sigh, getting in and thanking him.
As the car sped along, you looked over at your boyfriend driving the car. Boyfriend! That'll never get old… you thought to yourself. The air conditioning blew the few loose strands of hair on the top of his head, and his left hand gripped the wheel, making the veins on his hand prominent. With his right hand, he reached over, holding your left in his, resting on top of your thigh.
He really did look beautiful. You couldn't help but stare at him as he expertly drove the car, hand flexing as he turned the wheel. His mouth pursed and he licked his lips, his tongue slowly jutting out to wet them.
Damn, I want those lips on mine. That tongue in my mouth, you thought, feeling rather warm, despite the air conditioning swirling around the car.
“So where are we spending the day?” You asked, trying to quiet the flames of attraction licking at your pulse.
“It's a surprise! But we're almost there,” he answered, rubbing his thumb over the top of your hand.
Pedro looked in the side mirror and laughed. “Babe, look at Skipper.”
You looked to see him with his head out the window, ears and lips blown back with the wind, his tongue lolled out to the side and blowing with the speed of the vehicle.
You both chuckled before you warned him, “your car is going to be covered in slobbers, Pedro!” He gave another quick look to Skipper before replying. “That's okay. It'll help me remember this day until I wash it again,” he looked over at you and smiled. It felt so natural. So… domestic, the two of you sitting in the car, going on a date, him holding your hand while driving, and the two of you laughing at your dog in the back seat. It was just perfect. Everything you dreamed.
He wasn't joking when he said you were almost there. It was only about five more minutes until the car pulled into the parking lot of the dog-friendly beach.
Stepping out of the vehicle, you took a deep breath, inhaling the familiar smell of salty sea air and hearing the chatter of gulls. The breeze blew your hair gently, but the day was relatively warm for November.
After the three of you exited the car, Pedro opened the trunk, pulling out a large picnic basket and tote bag. “You really came prepared, didn't you? Pedro, this is really special. Thank you.” Your eyes felt teary and the smile you held was genuine. Nobody has ever put this much effort into anything for you. Other than him.
“You don't need to thank me. I want you to be happy and I want the three of us to have a nice day,” he added, pecking your lips.
“Wait.. Pedro,” you frowned. “It looks kind of crowded. Should I be nervous about paparazzi or anything?” Your stomach bubbled with nervous energy.
“Don't worry, sweetheart. Celebs come here all the time. I've come here before. If they do, they might take pictures, but usually it's pretty low-key here. Try not to worry too much. I want you to have a nice time,” he squeezed your hand affectionately.
“Okay. I trust you,” you smiled at him as the three of you walked towards the sand, finding a nice place to picnic. Pedro unpacked, laying down a large blanket before setting up the spread of sandwiches, veggies, and fruit. He offered you a cold drink from the basket and the two of you sat, using a metal stake to secure Skipper’s leash near your blanket. He flopped onto his side, content to be sunbathing with some of his favorite people.
The lunch consisted of peaceful conversations and laughter, learning more about each other despite having talked for several months now. It seemed you could never run out of conversation topics. But even in the quiet moments, it wasn't uncomfortable. It felt relaxing. You were both content being able to sit together in silence and just enjoy each other's company.
After your meal, you packed up the basket and headed for the car again to put the things away, opting for a walk unburdened by carrying items across the sand. Neither of you brought a swimsuit today, but despite the California sun, it was still November, and the Pacific ocean was never really warm, even in the middle of summer. That didn't seem to bother Skipper very much though. As the two of you walked hand in hand near the water, barefoot in the wet sand, he ran laps around Pedro holding him on the leash, occasionally splashing through the shallow water before joining close by his family again.
He would definitely need a bath later, but you didn't mind. He was happy splashing around, having a great day. You were happy walking with the man of your dreams, fingers intertwined together. Everything felt right. You weren't even nervous, despite the way Pedro looked like the most handsome man you've ever seen, or the fact that he was famous, and that you occasionally received stares from other beach goers. Instead of the usual first-date nerves people get, you just felt love.
“So,” he started excitedly, “Obviously I have most of this date planned, but I also wanted to check in with you and see if you had anything particular in mind that you wanted to do together.”
You thought for a second, letting a memory burn into your thoughts. “Well,” you began, "I don't want to sound like a total creepy fan or anything...” you added, cautiously. You kinda were, with all the photos of him you had saved on your phone (prior to deleting them before your first meeting in person). But that's not important right now, and he probably doesn't need to know that. Maybe it can be a funny story later.
Pedro laughed, that cute little wheezy laugh he does with his giant smile that makes your stomach do somersaults. Those same somersaults you've been getting since you first saw that smile on the screen and knew you were absolutely screwed until you got over this crush. Or, unexpectedly, when you walked hand-in-hand with him, like you were now.
“But…?” he pondered, looking down at you sideways, with a playful smirk and those big brown eyes that could make you lose your mind. They absolutely glittered in the sunlight right now, reflecting all the joy and love he felt for you.
“Okay maybe I'm a little creepy…” you nudged him with your side, still gripping his hand in yours as the two of you walked peacefully. The beach was crowded, but you and him, and Skipper, were the only ones here as far as either of you were concerned. There could be a loud scream and it wouldn't compare to the squealing in your mind. A firework show would simply feel like a projection of your sparks. A tornado couldn't sweep you off your feet as well as he could.
“Is this where you tell me you've been watching me sleep through my window for the past three years or something?” He raised an eyebrow, playful smile still on his face as he licked his lips.
“What?” You squeaked, laughing. “No. I mean… I did have some pictures saved of you, and have maybe read a fictional story or two about you and your characters…” or a few thousand, you thought.
You cringed. Why the fuck did I say that out loud?!
Your cheeks felt hot and you diverted your eyes away from the man beside you, a nervous grimace painted across your mouth. He barked out a laugh, pulling you into his side for a hug. “Baby, you're cute. I don't mind that you used to read those. I don't even mind if you still do. No different than a book, right? Maybe it'll give us some fun date ideas.” He rested his head on top of yours innocently.
Oh, if only he knew the things you read.
“Right. Fun date ideas,” you smirked to yourself. He pulled away to look at you, eyebrow raising playfully.
“Sweetheart,” he interrogated in the same tone you use when Skipper steals a sock from the laundry, “what kind of stories are you reading about me and my characters, huh?” He lifted your chin to meet his eyes. You'd feel nervous from his tone if he didn't flash a smug, knowing grin at you.
“Oh, you know…” you shrugged. “Just the typical romance stuff,” you turned, facing him and resting your hand on his chest, tracing a circle over his heart with your finger. You felt his pulse pick up under your touch, and saw his Adam's apple bob as he swallowed.
“What kind of thoughts are going through that pretty head of yours?” He asked, raising his brow while you continued tracing little hearts into his shirt with your index finger.
“Wouldn't you like to know?” You winked before removing your hand from his chest. Starting to walk away, you continued your earlier statement. “Anyway, as I was saying-”
“Oh, no you don’t,” he interrupted, laughing. “Don't think you're getting out of this conversation that easy,” he gently pulled your forearm, stopping your movement and sending you twirling into his arms once again.
“Maybe someday I'll tell you,” you giggled, booping his nose.
“Someday? Why not tell me now?” He ran his thumb over your lip, eyes drifting down quickly before returning to your eyes.
“I'll show you the fanfics I read about you when I know you're stuck with me and you aren't going to run for the hills,” you laughed nervously, only partially joking.
His playful demeanor vanished before your eyes, turning into a look of… concern? Oh no. This is it. Where he realizes what a mistake he made. Where he says he doesn't want to be together. Where he breaks my heart.
He gently held your arm, rubbing soft strokes. “Honey. What are you talking about?” His soft brown eyes searched your face. You gulped, not wanting to make eye contact, but he again pulled your chin up, forcing you to look at him. “I…” you floundered for the words. “I don't want to scare you away.”
“Why would I be scared away?” he asked in almost a whisper, concern and sadness lacing his features.
“Because I just had this huge, huge crush on you. So, I read fanfics and I saved all your photos and I watched all your movies. I spent more time on social media looking for updates on you. Just so I could see you, or imagine what being with you would feel like. Like a total crazy person. An absolute psycho creeper.”
“Baby…” he brushed his thumb over your cheek. “You aren't any of those things. I actually think that’s kind of sweet. Although, it makes me a little sad thinking about the pain you must have felt, having these strong feelings and not having found each other yet.” He brushed your hair out of your face, settling his other hand on your waist before continuing.
“Feelings make us feel a little crazy sometimes, and although I never read fanfiction about you, or had any pictures to save, I would be lying if I said I didn't take a screenshot of us that first night you showed me your face.” He rubbed his neck bashfully.
Fanfic about me? What? If that even exists, I gotta see what people are saying…
“You did?” His admission surprised you, to say the least. He sighed before answering. “Yes. I had - have,” he corrected himself, “a pretty big crush on you too, baby. But I felt like I was betraying you in a way, taking a picture of you during our video chat. I just wanted to remember your face if I never saw it again,” he sighed.
“I fell in love with you the first time I heard your song... I heard you sing about your feelings and daydreams. So… you admitting about fanfiction and pictures isn't all that surprising.” You lowered your eyes in embarrassment.
“Hey, look at me.” He stroked your cheek. You looked up and he continued. “I took that picture because I had already fallen so head-over-heels for you that the first time I saw your face, I stopped breathing. Although I knew I wouldn't be able to get the image of you out of my mind, I couldn't risk forgetting the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my life.”
You dropped your gaze again, cheeks feeling a permanent state of warmth and butterflies dancing from your stomach to your chest. “You don't honestly mean that, Pedro.” You sighed. “I appreciate it, but there's no way. I really don't know what you could ever see in someone like me,” you whispered, barely audible. If you weren't standing so close, he would've missed it.
Instead of responding, he dropped his arms from your body. At the loss of contact, your heart sank. But when you lifted your head to meet his eyes, he was fishing around his pocket for his phone. Calling an Uber to leave? Your self-doubt pestered.
A few taps to his screen later and he held up his phone. There you were, sitting at your table in your favorite dress, with your favorite food and flowers on the table. You had the biggest smile on your face and in the bottom corner, you could see Pedro looking handsome as always, and absolutely smitten with you, the largest grin painted across his features.
At the sight of the image, your heart warmed. “See what you mean to me?” He asked, putting his phone back into his pocket. You nodded, wrapping your arms around his neck. “I love you,” you choked out, leaning forward to mold your lips to his. They fit together perfectly. Like they were made for each other. He pressed back before opening his mouth ever so slightly to lick at your lips. Matching his movements, your tongues met, dancing a waltz in exploration as he pulled you forward by your lower back, seeming as if trying to get as close as possible somehow.
As the two of you paused for air, he ran his hand further down your back, just barely grazing the dip of your spine where your torso meets your butt. He gave you a look, almost to determine your reaction, asking permission to let his hand continue. When you didn't back away, going as far as pulling him closer around his neck and leaning in for another kiss, he pressed his lips against yours in return and let his hands wander a little further down. When his hand wrapped around the cheek of your ass, you squeaked. This is new… and I like it, you thought. His whole hand fit across your cheek. His huge hands. You whimpered as he gave a squeeze, like he was claiming you as his own.
“I love you too.” He finally responded, pulling out of the kiss to search your eyes. “So tell me… what was this activity you wanted to add to our date? The one you fear makes you sound like a creepy fan?” He let out a small laugh, brushing your nose with his.
“This,” you replied, pressing another kiss.
“Kissing?” He asked, rubbing his thumb over your waist and resting his forehead to yours. “I think we've already been doing that, if I'm not mistaken.” He pecked your lips with his.
“Yes,” you kissed. “Well,” kiss. “Actually,” you pulled away enough to explain. “I read this interview you gave a few years ago about your ideal first date?”
“Yeah?”
“You said something about ‘a date that doesn't feel like a date. And
hopefully by the end, or throughout, very
good kissing.” You said, slightly cautious at your memorization, a bit nervous at the implication of what you're saying.
“Oh, is that what you want?” He flashed his eyes up to look at you, giving a devilish smirk.
“Well, as someone who hadn't been kissed yet when I read it, I sorta lost my mind over it,” you laughed. “Obviously we've kissed before, but if it were up to me your lips would never leave mine,” you pressed your lips to his again.
“I think we should be able to make that happen,” he leaned in, brushing his nose against yours before pulling you in for another kiss. “Mmmm” you sighed, pulling away from his lips. “Never gets old.” You held his hand in yours, the two of you walking again down the beach.
“So I was thinking,” he began, “since you said you deleted all your photos, and I only have the one, maybe we could make some new photos… together,” the corner of his mouth turned up into a crooked smile. You grinned and nodded excitedly. “Please!”
Pulling out his phone, the two of you took several photos together. Some just smiling, some with Skipper, and your personal favorites, the ones with him kissing you. This will make for a perfect lockscreen, you imagined.
As you approached the edge of a rocky cliffside at the end of the beach, a sea lion barked in the distance. Skipper perked up, tilting his head and letting his ears twitch before returning a “boof.” The two of you laughed, ushering your dog away from making any wild ocean friends, and headed towards the boardwalk.
After grabbing an ice cream at a candy shop, you were so deep in conversation and laughter that you didn't notice the girl off to the side looking nervous. Slowly she walked over. Skipper put up his guard, but as she approached, she gave a kind wave. “Hi… I'm sorry to bother you. I'm a big fan of you both.”
“Us… both?!” You responded, surprised. Pedro shook his head with a laugh before thanking the fan.
“Of course! Your music is amazing! I listen to it on my way home from work everyday. I relate to so many of your songs.”
“Wow, thank you so much. I never expected to be recognized. You're so kind,” you replied honestly.
She asked for a photo with you both, and after obliging, she mentioned before leaving, “by the way, I was following all the news that went down. I just want to say I think it's cute how you guys got together and you make a really cute couple. Okay bye! Thank you again!!” And with that, she scurried away, leaving you to look at Pedro in surprise. “Wow” you replied with a laugh. “I can't believe I'm getting recognized,” you spoke quietly.
“How do you feel about it?” Pedro asked cautiously.
“I feel… okay, so far. This was a nice interaction, and even though people keep looking at us… being able to be out in public with you, to show my face, kiss you, hug you, hold your hand,” you gave his hand a squeeze, “it makes it all worth it.”
“I couldn't agree more,” he looked into your eyes, giving a soft smile. You matched his expression before his face slowly faded into concern. “Do you think work will go okay for you? Now that it's out there?”
You took a deep breath, walking a few more steps with him down the boardwalk before replying. “I don't know. I guess so. Or… I hope so at least. I've had a few of my friends and coworkers message me kind words of encouragement. So at least I'll have some people on my side, even if anyone else has something to say. But really, they shouldn't. They already know me. They knew I liked you,” you leaned into him. “So they should be happy for me if anything. And if not, then… well, they didn't deserve to be my friend anyway,” you shrugged. “But I think I might take some time off to figure out everything, career wise,” you added. Still leaning into his side, Pedro unlatched his fingers from yours, opting to reach his arm around you, giving your shoulder a squeeze and rubbing soft circles into your upper arm.
“Baby,” Pedro began, his voice vibrating through your body as he leaned his head on yours, “I’m so proud of you. Have I told you how strong I think you are?” Your cheeks warmed and you grinned. “Thank you Pedro,” you wrapped your arms around his waist to hug him. “But I don't think I'm that strong. I struggle to open pickle jars just like the rest of us,” you joked.
Pedro gave a quiet snort. “You know what I mean, honey,” he laughed. “I don't mean physical strength. Though I'm sure you could hold your own in an arm wrestle, I mean your ability to handle all of this thrown at you so quickly. Your ability to adapt and stay cheerful about everything. You just keep continuing to amaze me,” he pulled his head away from yours to meet your gaze. He smiled softly and you thanked him.
“I don't feel very strong,” you mumbled, breaking away from his stare. “You are, though. You're strong, smart, beautiful. Talented. Passionate,” he kissed your lips.
“Pedro, I love you, but you always seem to use all these words I don't feel. You see me as someone completely different than the way I've always seen myself. I want to believe you, but-” you sighed. “No one else has ever shown any indication that those are true,” you pouted, trying not to tear up.
“Hey, hey, whoa. Stop,” he halted your movements, pulling your chin up to his face. “Maybe they didn't see you, but I do. I feel all those things about you, and I'll spend every single day trying to prove it. I told myself I wouldn't get involved in romance a long time ago. But you changed all that.”
His chocolate brown eyes felt like they looked directly into your soul as he attempted to unravel your self-doubt. With a deep breath, you calmed enough to reply. “I love you, and I feel all those things for you as well. I'm glad you opened yourself up to love again.” You pressed a kiss to his lips. “I'm glad I met you” you sucked his lip. “I'm glad you're mine.” You kissed him again, deepening it, letting your tongue press gently to his and tangling together in passion before pulling away.
Skipper had completely rolled into his side in wait for you both, between the conversation and the kissing. When the two of you broke away with matching grins, you looked over to see the sun had sunk down to the border between sky and ocean. In its wake was a bright orange sky, with pink, purple, and yellow streaks mixed in, as if a painter had gotten a bit too carried away with the paints. It was blindingly beautiful.
Drawn to it like moths, the three of you walked towards the shoreline once again. You started to sit, but Pedro pulled you into his chest and fished for his phone.
You gave him a confused look before he kissed you deeply and held out his arm. Unlatching his lips from yours with a pop, he held up his phone to you with a smile. In front of the vibrant ocean sunset, the silhouette of a couple shared a loving kiss. For once, it was you in this couple photo. You and the man you love.
You walked a little farther down the sand before sitting down just above the line of wet sand to admire the sunset. Pedro sat behind you, his legs on either side of you while you lay back into his chest. As you leaned into him, he hugged around your body, molding himself to you and tracing light circles into the skin on your arms, making the hairs stand on end and a shiver to run down your spine.
Skipper flopped down nearby, clearly sleepy after a long walk and plenty of new smells. You ran a gentle hand down his back until you heard soft snores, then let him sleep, leaning your head on Pedro’s arm around your shoulder. “This sunset is beautiful,” you sighed, watching as the sun descended further below the ocean. It looked as if it was sinking deep below the surface, offering its light to the deep sea anglerfish miles below.
“It is amazing,” Pedro agreed, staring at you. “But my view is even better,” he added, and you could feel his eyes on the side of your face as he kissed your shoulder. You looked over at him, meeting his eyes, now sparkling with the orange of the sky. “Mine too,” you whispered, tilting your head to press another kiss to his lips.
When the sun went down completely, you headed to the car and Pedro drove back to your place so you could get ready for dinner.
Pedro sat on the couch patiently, stroking the fur on Skip’s back while he snoozed, his head in Pedro's lap. In your bedroom, you searched for the perfect outfit to wear, finally deciding on a nice dress and sweater.
Hopefully the restaurant isn't too cold, you thought.
Walking out of the bedroom, you joined your boys in the living room, only to be greeted by Pedro’s jaw hitting the floor. “Te ves tan hermosa mi amor,” he stuttered in Spanish, flipping languages so easily when he was overcome with emotion. (You look so gorgeous my love.)
He gently stood, sliding out from below your dog, before walking over to you. His eyes scanned your body from head to toe and back up again, making you feel nervous. “You… you look… wow.” He rubbed his hand over his chin, his thumb grazing his lip. His pupils grew, making his eyes ever-so-slightly darker. You shivered under his gaze.
At your shiver, his demeanor shifted. “Shit, are you cold? Baby, you look incredible, but if you're cold -”
“I'm not cold, Pedro,” you interrupted.
“Are you sure? I saw you shiver.” He stepped towards you, touching your arm. A buzz crept under your skin like a live wire. “It wasn't from the cold…” you replied.
“It wasn't from-?” He paused, the realization hitting him as he understood your shiver wasn't from cold but frankly.. the opposite. “Oh,” he hummed, settling his hand on your hip and stepping closer.
Another chill.
“Feeling excited for our date, huh?” His voice caressed into your ear as he kissed his way down your neck, pausing to take gentle nibbles on the skin of your collarbone, neck, and chin, before pulling you in by your waist to press a deep kiss to your mouth, his tongue finding yours.
This was starting to feel natural, kissing. And you two were getting good at it together. Knowing just the way his tongue moved, finding just the spot to make you whine. You even managed to find a spot of him that made a groan slip from his lips nearly every time. Kissing him was addicting, and you had no intention of kicking the habit.
He pulled away, pulling your lip with his teeth as you let out a slight hiss. “I'd love to do this all night, but I promised you dinner, my love,” he kissed your cheek, his beard scratching your face just right. You sighed, agreeing to dinner and taking a minute step back. It felt much warmer in the room than before, and you could tell he felt the same. As your eyes drifted across his body, he nervously rubbed the back of his neck, clearing his throat. Slowly sweeping his eyes down his body, it was evident you both wanted something beyond dinner.
But the gentleman he is, Pedro stepped forward again, taking your hand and leading you toward the door.
Pulling up to the curb, Pedro opened your door for you before handing his keys to the valet. Linking his arm with yours, the two of you walked into an elegant Italian restaurant. He gave the waitress his name, and she led you back to a secluded room where a single booth sat.
The room was dimly lit, illuminated by candles and twinkling fairy lights. They lined the ceiling, mimicking the starry sky, were it not for the smog of the city. You two walked toward the only booth, settled against the nook of a window, draped with a soft, thin white curtain covering the view from outside. Only the reflection of street lights peered through the thin drapery.
Sliding into the booth, Pedro sat next to you, close enough to touch, yet due to the curve of the corner booth, you were able to converse without craning your neck awkwardly. At the center of the table was a single red rose in a vase, sat next to the glow of a candle. The table itself was rounded and draped with an elegant dark red tablecloth.
Grabbing the triangular folded napkin off your plate, you folded it across your lap, Pedro doing the same. He reached over to you, taking your hand in his. He rolled his hand over the top of yours, linking his fingers between your own and giving a gentle squeeze while offering a soft smile.
You looked into his eyes, searching for the words he might be thinking. In his eyes you only found love and appreciation, pure happiness oozing from his features. When the waitress came back, she set a basket of bread with butter on the table and took your orders.
The night went smoothly, chatter filling the empty spaces while you enjoyed your meals. “Pedro, I know this is technically our first date, but I gotta say, I think I consider our video chat for my album as the first date. It was the first time I felt like I might actually have a shot with you. You put so much effort into that night and it was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for me. I didn't know I could fall for you any harder than I was, but you proved me wrong. And even though we didn't say it was a date, and I didn't have much experience before you, it felt more like a date than anything I had ever felt before. You're a real romantic, P.”
He smiled and pressed a gentle kiss to your lips. “That felt like the first date to me too. I knew for sure that I loved you that night.” Your cheeks heated, and you leaned your head on his shoulder.
It was only when the bill arrived that you broke apart. Though you offered to pay, at least for your meal, Pedro wouldn't stand for that. After all, he told you, this date was his idea. So instead, you thanked him and left the restaurant the same way you entered, arms linked.
As Pedro pulled up outside of your home, you let out a sigh. It was already after 9 PM. You had spent nearly eight hours together and yet you dreaded the moment you'd be saying goodbye. It was almost that time already, yet it felt like only five minutes had passed.
Though the walk from Pedro’s car to your front door was rather short, you both managed to prolong it, walking as slow as possible. Clearly he wasn't ready for it to end either. Two love sick fools, just wanting to spend every moment together.
Teetering on the edge of goodbyes, you awkwardly stood by your door. There were no nerves at a first kiss, fortunately. There had been plenty of kisses shared today, and yesterday, and the day prior. In fact, if it weren't for breathing, eating, and other bodily functions, you'd be fine having your lips glued to his indefinitely.
So with that in mind, and the burning desire to spend more time together, as he said goodbye, placing a kiss to your lips and beginning to walk away, you grabbed his arm. “Wait,” you plead.
Pedro turned, looking at you as if you had something to say, or you had forgotten a sweater in the car. But instead, with your heart pounding in your ears, you quietly asked, “would you like to come in? I’m not quite ready to say goodbye.”
The question could be taken with so many potential implications, or none at all. All you knew for sure was that you wanted to spend more time with him. What happened next could be decided in the moment.
His eyes flashed surprise for a moment. He looked at you, trying to read your face for any details in your question, then stared at your front door before turning back to you and finally answering.
“I would love to,” he smiled.
And so the two of you walked through the threshold of your front door, buzzing with new possibilities just inside. But no matter how the rest of the evening takes place, you were in love, and for once, you were loved back.
The end! Thank you for reading! Stay tuned for the bonus tracks, and once again I'd love to hear what you think! Reblogs are appreciated as well :)

Pain.
That is the first thing that you register; a dull throb to the back of your head. You grown at the feeling. Slowly do your eyes flutter open, the sting of light assaults you.
When finally do you adjust to the brightness, you take stock of your surroundings.
White.
The walls. The ceiling. The floor. Where the fuck are you?
You realise you are on the floor. You move to sit up, but you find your hands are bound tight behind you. So it with great effort you that manage to push yourself up into a sitting position, back pressed against the wall behind you.
You gaze around the room. In the centre there is a thick metal table. No chairs. To your left, a bed that would be far too small for your frame. Clearly you are in a human facility. But you do not recognise this interior to be that of Hell’s Gate.
Shit.
Despite the painful throb, you attempt to recount your steps up until this point.
---
Your siblings; Eywa bless them all, but by the Great Mother did they infuriate you. For some unfathomable reason, the little entourage, sans Neteyam, thought to disobey the rules and explore the old battle site. There they happened upon a group of Avatars, decked out in full gear, carrying ARs.
Lo’ak calls it in. Father instructed him to retreat.
You arrived at eclipse, alongside your parents and Neteyam, leaving him with the ikran. You find your siblings captured and in the clutches of these Avatars. There would be no way to rescue them without bloodshed.
Your mother lets loose the first arrow, a clean headshot, and all hell breaks loose in a hail of gunfire. In the scuffle you manage to find Kiri and Spider, leading them away as fast as you can.
But an explosion goes off behind all of you, and though you and Kiri keep balance, you see Spider fall. The two of you yell out to him. Without so much as a second thought, you dove. You clutched his body to yours, wrapping yourself around him as the two of you fell, lessening the impact it would have on him, hoping you have protected his mask.
You hit your head on several tree branches on the way down. With a painful thud you land on the ground. There is a loud ringing in your ear. You think you can hear Spider’s muffled voice yelling your name, screaming perhaps. You can’t concentrate. There is only pain. There is only the ringing.
You faintly register the feeling of being lifted. There is a light, blinding in your eyes, coming from the skies. Then darkness. Nothingness.
Then, you woke up here.
---
It stands to reason then, that you were captured by those Avatars. Fuck.
But where was Spider?!
Panicked, you hoist yourself onto wobbly legs, looking around the room you search, but he is not here. You pull on the bindings in frustration, but it is of little use; they are wound tight.
You turn around and are met with your own reflection. You notice your head’s been wrapped in some gauze; you must’ve hit your head pretty hard. You look at the bindings on your wrist, orange, ones you haven’t seen before. A nice new gift from the Sky People.
Suddenly your ears pick up a soft swoosh of a sound, and the door behind you opens.
Too afraid to turn around you stare at the doorway through the reflection.
One of the Avatar men stalks in, bending as he does to get through the doorway.
By Eywa’s grace, he is tall. Taller than your father, your surmise. Bigger too. Probably not a fight you would win easily, if it all. Especially with your injured head and bound wrists.
“Ah, you’re finally awake.” He says as he approaches you. You turn then, slowly, to face the man. You decide to play nice, for now at least. No need to get hurt even more. Lure the enemy in, strike when they least expect.
You look up to meet his gaze head on, and freeze.
---
That face.
That damned face.
You’re sure you know that damnable face.
But it is not possible. The man you know of, are thinking of, is most assuredly dead. For real dead. You’ve seen his remains, trapped in that machine in the old battle site. You dared not to touch it; afraid it would have disturbed his spirit somehow.
Oh Eywa, his spirit…
How long has it been since you last saw him? Three years? Something close to that you think. You would never forget that evening, that desperate evening, when you approached him. Threw yourself at him. And he caved. Oh sweet Eywa, he had caved.
You knew what you did was wrong. Guilt had eaten away at you in the days that followed. You knew exactly who he was. You knew of his crimes. Yet you did it anyway. Shameful. Disgusting. Monster-fucker, you bitterly thought.
The two of you never really broached the topic of his past. He had given you his name, and it was enough. You told him who you were, and it was enough.
You hadn’t known how to explain the marks that marred your body. You claimed to have fallen off attempting a trick mid-flight. A weak excuse. You can see it in the eyes of your parents that they do not believe you. Your siblings too. But they instead teased you, convinced are they that you must have been with someone.
You decided then, that if you should see him again, you must apologise, it was a mistake, shall never happen again, and to never speak to one another going forward.
It takes two weeks then, for a re-emergence of a shared dream.
You had been psyching yourself up for the encounter.
Except the moment your eyes meet, there is such an unbelievable swell in your chest, an almost immediate heat in your loins. You are beyond smitten.
You let yourself be lost in the feeling.
Days turn to weeks. Weeks to months. And every few days, you found yourself back in his company. Back in his arms. Sometimes, he in yours. And you love it. Guilt be damned you love the attention. The two of you figure that your body must reflect whatever happens to your soul in this Space.
He, tries, to be more mindful of the marks he leaves; but your people already wear next to nothing as it is, so it is a bit of a challenge. You don’t mind though, not anymore. Not after this long. It fills you with confidence, to know you are wanted so deeply, so readily, always.
You find you are able to walk pass those boys who had rejected you with a huff, a flick of the hair. Show them that they are unneeded, and that you have found someone else.
But such a time is not to last. Your family began to pester you; your parents especially. Father is Clan Leader; this you cannot forget. So for his eldest, his daughter, to have some sort of secret lover, he is not exactly keen on. They beg and plead, asking for you to tell them who it is. If this boy, ‘Ha! Boy…’, has accepted you, then they can arrange for him to be your future mate, recognise your future relationship in the clan. Make it official as it were.
You were relucted, obviously. How can you explain to them that you were having, relations, with what is undoubtedly their worst enemy, but also that it wasn’t happening in the real world?
Just when you were slowly coming around to the idea of confessing…it stopped.
Just like that.
No warning. Just complete, nothingness.
When a week had gone by with no Quaritch, you thought nothing of it.
But weeks turn to months. One month becomes two. Two becomes four.
And on the eve of the sixth month, you break. You break down, alone under the Spirit Tree. You connected to Eywa, sobbing, begging, pleading, questioning. ‘Why? Why now?’ If it was so wholly wrong, why put you two together?
You are met with silence.
Months then, turned to years. You never do tell your parents, or your siblings. Your apparent mood change at the seventh months leads them to believe things didn’t work out. It had been months since they saw you with marks in suspicious places. You are grateful they never bring it up though; but you can tell in they walk on egg shells around you that they know.
This goes on for about another few months before all returns to normal.
You miss him, of course. He had been your first love you think. Accepting your body as those boys did not. A freak to them you were. Big breasted and wide hipped. But to him—
“Ahh, you’re all freaks to me darlin’. ‘Sides, if you were human, with a body like that? Pssh, men wouldn’t be able to keep their hands off ye. Lord knows I can’t,” he had winked at you when he said that. That’s when you knew there was no way you could possibly stay away from this man.
But Eywa had other plans it seemed.
“You still with me darlin’?” Your reminiscing is brought to a hastened end by the man before you. He stands just before you, waving a hand in front of your face.
Shit. How long were you staring off into nothing remembering things?
You blink rapidly, then cast your eyes downward. You are far too overwhelmed to look this man in the eye.
“What do you want, Demon?” The last part you spit with venom. You don’t know who this is, but you hate him. Hate that he looks so damn close to your human.
“Ah, so you do speak English…” He takes a step back, crosses his arms and regards you with keen interested. “That was some nasty fall back there. Had the science pukes patch ya up real nice.” You don’t say anything in response.
“Spider tells me you were protecting him. Awfully nice of ya, considering he’s human. Stands to reason then, that I shall return that kindness. Be nice and all that. All you gotta do, is tell me what I wanna know.” He roughly grabs your face in one hand, forcing you to look up at him.
“Where is Jake Sully?”
“As if I would betray my family so easily, Demon! You will get nothing from me!” You all but yell angrily at him. Baring your teeth as threateningly as you can muster.
“Now-now sweetheart, there’s no need to play hard to get. We can do this the easy way. Or the hard way. Your choice. As I said, I’ll be nice. Once. Then I won’t.”
Fear.
Fear bursts through you. You look up at this man, this Demon, this monster and plead with your eyes.
“Please…don’t hurt me…Do not ask this of me…”
Loyalty, even in the face of danger. He admires that. But the soft approach, he’ll save for Spider. His not-son. For you though, savage daughter of that fucking traitor Jake Sully, he’s decided on a not so nice approach.

You don’t know how long you’ve been here. Hours? Days? Weeks? Time has all but blurred together. You have not seen the outside in so long. Have not felt the sun upon your skin. It is torture. But nothing, truly nothing, compares to that awful machine.
It pulls at your mind, the digging, cutting, searching. The feeling of a thousand metal spiders clawing into your flesh. Yet you do not yield. You think only of the forest. Of tall trees and swinging vines. Of running through the under brush at night when the world is aglow. You force your mind to think of Hells Gate. Of the scientists. Of the many humans you see mulling around.
Each time your screams fall on deaf ears, begging for the pain to stop. Each time you are brought to tears. Only when you start bleeding from your nose are you let free, returned to that awful white room. They don’t bother cuffing you anymore. You simply lay on the floor weeping to yourself till you fall unconscious.
You’re not sure how long you can keep it up. Sooner or later, you will inevitably think of the Hallelujah Mountains, of High Camp.
And where was Spider? Oh Eywa you hope he’s okay. If they put him in that same machine, you vow you would kill them all. Every. Last. Human. Avatar. Whatever. Anything breathing in this forsaken place was dead fucking meat.
Again you weep for him. You hope was safe and not scared and alone. You prayed to Eywa that they treated him with a modicum of decency, at least for being human. You move yourself and the oxygen mask they gave you into the soft bed, small as it was, a better comfort than the floor. You cry yourself to sleep.
---
It’s frustrating, Quaritch thinks. It’s been about a week, and still they have come up short. Even with Spider riding along, no progress has been made. It was difficult to even get him to agree to come a long. He had insisted on seeing you, outright refusing to cooperate otherwise. It was only when Quaritch had not to subtly threatened to return him to the science pukes that he relented. Still he demanded to at least know you were safe.
It took little effort to lie to the boy. You were technically safe, so long as they didn’t keep you in that machine longer than you could handle. You had a place to rest. Water and food were given to you. A mask too. By all accounts you were still living and breathing. Close enough to safe.
But you. Stubborn, obstinate, infuriating you. They had yet to break you. Their fancy expensive machine failing them at every turn. Quaritch stares at you on the monitors before him. He can hear you weep. Another failed round. He’s clutching his mug tightly. The General will be on his ass if he doesn’t produce results soon. He’s not exactly her biggest fan either. She’s got an arrogance about her that rubs him the wrong way.
It’s your fault, he thinks, as he stares you. Your fault, that progress has come to a standstill. It pisses him off. If you at least gave them something, anything, this would be a whole lot easier. He slams his mug down, anger bristling his nerves, ire ever growing.
“Turn off the monitors. Me and that hostile are gonna have ourselves, a little chat.”
“Sir…?”
“JUST. DO IT.” The human beside him jumps at his tone, hastily turning off the feed as commanded.
“Now don’t go turning that back on till I return. Trust me, I’ll know.” He fixes the man with a stern look before storming off to your holding cell.
---
You awake with a start at the sound of the door opening. You see the Demon step in, then touch the something beside the door. It makes a noise, and you are more than certain he’s locked it. Your stomach drops.
Quaritch looks up at the cameras, making sure there is no red light to indicate it being on. Satisfied, he turns to you once more.
“You know sweetheart. I gotta give it to ya, I’m surprised you’ve lasted this long.” He says, taking slow leisurely steps towards you. You bring your knees to your chest, pushing yourself as far back as you can until your met with the cold wall.
“But this can all go away. No more machine. I can get you outta here. All you gotta do is give me what I want.”
“I will give you nothing! Demon!” You hiss at him, but it is for show. You are scared, trapped with this man in a place you can’t escape. Too weak to fight properly. Without thinking, you spit at him, landing your saliva on his chest. Oh, he doesn’t like that.
“One of these days sweetheart, that mouth of yours is gonna get you in a world of trouble.” A frown adorns his face as he says this, looking at the offending wet patch before drawing his eyes back to meet yours.
“Starting today.” In a flash he’s on you, roughly grabbing your queue at the base. You yelp in both surprise and pain, hands automatically clawing at his wrists. He pulls you off the wall to the edge of the bed. He stands before you. He yanks your head back, pulling your face upward.
“You don’t wanna talk? Fine. Let’s put that mouth of yours to good use then, shall we?” The grips your queue tighter, the searing pain lights your nerves once more and you hiss at the feeling. Tears threatening at the edge of your eyes.
You catch movement on the edge of your gaze. With horror you realise what he is doing. He’s unbuckling his pants.
‘Oh no no no, please, Great Mother NO! Not this! Anything but this!’ Your prayer is futile as you watch him pull out his half-hardened cock.
Quaritch didn’t think he’d find your fear so arousing. But that pleading look you give him every time he sees you, he can’t help the bolt of electricity that shoots through him. Even now he can see the fear in your eyes, he can see you know what’s about to happen, and he reveals in the power he has over you. Doesn’t help that you’ve been walking around in that get-up of yours.
He noticed you, that first time he walked into this cell. You definitely were a half-breed, with those five fingers and toes. Even more so did he notice the swell of your breasts, the expansion of your hips. From the images he’s seen on the data pads, you are clearly not like the rest of your kin. Your portions are almost too human. He’s not sure if it’s this new body, or the memories of the man he’s emulating, but God damn he can’t help himself.
The frustration of it all, topped off with your stubbornness to cooperate, stagnating their operation too boot, has all been building up. He’s just about had enough. This is all your fault. Seems to reason that you should be the one to fix it, he figures.
Before you can even begin to beg, he pulls out a knife, bringing the sharp blade to where he has your queue in his hand.
“Don’t get any funny ideas darling. One wrong move, and it’s bye-bye Eywa. Understood?” Tears silently fall from your eyes; you nod when you feel him loosen his grip ever so lightly. Seeing those tears sends a pleasurable throb to the tip of his dick.
“Good girl.” He lets your head fall forward properly facing him, he shuffles closer, his legs hitting the side of the bed.
“Now, do you need to be told what to do, or do you already know?”
Of course you know. You spent an almost immeasurable amount of time with your beloved human. He showed you things you never dreamed of, touched you in ways your imagination could never suffice. But now those memories were to be tainted, forever marred by the actions of this Demon. Your hesitation is noted, and met with displeasure.
“I ain’t got all day sweetheart.”
With renewed tears you sit on your knees, and take him in one hand.
---
Slowly you pump, up and down, from base to tip. It doesn’t take long for him to harden. The sight of your tears dripping onto your exposed chest spurring him on.
He’s massive, you realise. You’re sure Na’vi men aren’t meant to be this well-endowed. You’re almost certain actually, from the stories you shared with you by your friends.
He is thick too; your fingers barely touch when encircled around him. He hums with pleasure, tightening his grip on your queue ever so slightly.
You squeeze tighter, pumping his cock with more force. You hear him suck in a breath.
He brings the knife away from your queue to your mouth.
“Open.” He commands, and you obey. “Wider.” He sticks the knife inside carefully, pressing the flat side of the blade onto your tongue. The cold metal tastes awful, making your mouth water. He uses his thumb to pull one side of your mouth away, examining.
The sight alone causes a shudder through his core. You peering up at him, tears in your eyes, tongue flat, mouth pulled open, drool falling freely. Oh yes, he could get used to this.
He removes the knife from your mouth, back to your queue.
“Use that pretty little mouth of yours darling.”
Your lips tremble at the thought of that massive thing in your mouth. But what choice do you have really? Your lifeline is in his hand; quite literally in fact.
He moves your head closer, loosening his grip to give you some leeway. “Watch those teeth darlin’” he warns as you lean closer still.
Slowly you open your mouth, and give his tip an experimental lick. You hear the Demon suck in a breath through his teeth when he does this. You lick his tip again, then take the hold head into your mouth.
The Demon exhales audibly.
You swirl your tongue around the tip, opening your mouth slightly to ease the motion, all the while pumping his cock with your hand to spread your saliva.
“Hnnn—fuck. Keep going darlin’…” The Demon praises you. Once you deem him sufficiently lubricated, you stick out your tongue and proceed to take more of his cock into your mouth. You stop half way before pulling back. You bring your head back down halfway, meeting your hand that pumps him from base to midway.
You set a slow place, squeezing him as hard as you can with your hand. You can hear his laboured breath as you suck his cock with practiced movements.
“You’ve done this before have you? Fucking whore…Bet you got men just lined up back home—!!!” His words come to abrupt halt, followed by a gasp, when you remove your hand from his cock and plunge the whole length into your mouth. He wasn’t expecting that.
You feel the tip of his dick stroke pass the base of your tongue and tease the inside of your neck. Though you’ve ever sucked any other cock other than your beloved, back when you were still relative to his size, he was sure to show you how to take his cock without chocking. Seems those lessons shall serve you well.
You pull back, tracing the vein on the side of his dick with your tongue. You bring his tip to your lips and swirl your tongue around it hastily, before sucking the whole length back down your throat.
“Ffffuuuuuck—” the Demon all but moans loudly, hips sway slightly.
He throws the knife to the floor suddenly, wraps your queue around one wrist, the grabs both sides of your head in his hands.
He starts fucking you like that, holding your head still and he pumps into your throat with reckless abandon. He unashamedly moans, feeling the soft smooth slick of your tongue graze his dick, while his tip meets the inner walls of your throat.
You don’t expect him to go so fast, the intrusion at such a speed shocks you, and you gag unintentionally. This doesn’t deter him at all though, seems to spur him on further. Faster he fucks you, powerful muscles clenched tight as he drives his hard cock down your bruising throat. Each time he can see the imprint of his dick push on your throat and it sends a jolt of pleasure through him.
You look up then, glistening eyes brimming with tears, nose running slightly. Your hands hold onto his wrists for balance. His face is contorted into one of inexplicable pleasure. Eyes half lidded, glazed over, mouth agape, he moans loudly without shame. He’s so close. He can feel it. He’s teetering on that precipice of release. He just needs a little bit more.
One hand leaves your head. He reaches to your shoulder to grab the lines of fabric there. With one powerful pull the threads break, beads and other small trinkets go flying about the room.
You make some kind of shocked noise around his cock; the vibrations send pleasurable waves all throughout.
“Aaaaahhh—fuck yes baby that’s it! Let me see you play with those pretty tits of yours! Come on now!” He yells as he brings his hand back to your head, holding you still once more, resuming his brutal pace.
Timidly you bring your hands to your now openly exposed breasts. You cup yourself in each hand, squeezing gently, you start to massage yourself in lazy circles. You moan around his cock without thinking, the feeling of playing yourself sending a small jolt of pleasure to your pussy.
“Come on baby, come on yes that’s it, you’re such a good girl for me, my fucking little savage whore! Just a little more!”
You move to pinch your nipples as you press your tits together, and you moan a muffled scream at the pleasure lighting your nerves.
That does it for him. With one final powerful thrust into your throat, he cums. Hard. You feel the thick streams of his seed coat the inner walls of your throat. He pulls back and thrusts back in a few more times, filling your mouth with his hot sticky cum.
He holds your head to the base of his cock, your nose pressed against his groin.
“Swallow it baby…Don’t waste a single drop now.” You swallow, drinking deep. You give his cock a couple hard sucks, making sure you drink every last drop. Slowly you pull your head back, his dick comes out with a pop. You open your mouth and stick out your tongue out of habit. Quaritch would always inspect your mouth like this, make sure you were a good girl and didn’t waste his gift to you.
The Demon smirks down at you, his breathing laboured. He sees your tail flick behind you, only then does he notice his also swaying behind him with reckless abandon. He releases your queue then. You almost weep at the relief that floods you. Without a word he puts his semi-soften cock back in his pants, collects his knife and secures it back in place. He gives himself a once over before turning to face you once more.
You’re still sitting on your knees. There’s a thick blush from your tits, up your neck, and splayed beautifully across your cheeks. You’re looking up at him with glistening eyes, apprehension on your face, clearly unsure of what is so happen now.
He clears his throat.
“I suggest, you think ‘bout cooperating. Next time, I might not be so nice.” He leaves without another word. You’re almost shocked by the hastened retreat. When the door shuts behind him, you release the breath you didn’t realise you were holding.
You immediately bring your braid to you front and hold it tight to your chest. You’re crying is renewed tenfold. To lose one’s queue is a fate worse than death. You’ve heard the horror stories. The pain, the fire, the seizures. It is an unsightly thing. And survival is not guaranteed. Even then, what sort of life could you really have, without your connection? Without being about to make tsaheylu? You continue to cry as you rock back on forth, tail wrapping around you in distress.
You swallow your excess saliva, still tasting that Demon’s cum on your tongue.
Without him here, looming over you with the threat of danger, you come to realise an awful thing.
He tastes just like Quaritch.
You all but scream in frustration as you cry even harder.

I'm feeling... angsty.
Would you care to write a hurt/comfort with Sephiroth, Angeal, and Genesis while they're in training?
Hope that inspires somewhat!
Yesssssss!!!! Comfy AGS angst here we go!!! 🔪 Tysm for the prompt!! 💖💕
(Admittedly… I took the term “training” and just converted it to “training room”, so I hope that’s okay lol!! 😂❤️)
~
The sky was full of stars.
He seemed to lose himself in their endless quantity, mesmerized by their ethereal grace, his eyes drifting like feathers across the sky as he fruitlessly tried to count them all. Ten, twenty, fifty, ninety…. There had to be hundreds of them, thousands of them. Tens of thousands. Millions. Millions upon millions of stars that were peppering the velvet blackness overhead, sharing their light in beady ornaments that scattered all the way beyond the sawtoothed mountains of the horizon, burning even brighter against the village’s extinguished candlelight. Burning so bright and so valiantly. Burning like eternal fire on their own accord, untainted by the need of human hands… unchoked by smog and mako. Burning with nothing but their whole and cosmic purity, reigning over the planet with their brilliant gaze, watching over them all.
Sephiroth nearly forgot that they weren’t real.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?”
He let his gaze drift away from the sky to regard the burly figure beside him, something of a low hum of acknowledgment rumbling in his throat.
“Beyond.”
There was a small chuckle to his right.
“See? I told you two I should choose the simulations more often. Isn’t my taste exquisite?”
“Please,” Angeal laughed quietly in turn. “You didn’t even have the faintest clue as to what this one was.”
“Untrue.”
“Absolutely true. You picked it for the name and name alone, Gen.”
“Don’t accuse me of things that are one hundred percent correct.” Red leather shuffled and creased as Genesis folded his arms, letting out a petulant scoff, his slender shape leaning back against the soothing chill of the water tower. “Besides,” he added, turning toward Sephiroth with a quiet smile, “Sephiroth seems to be enjoying it.”
Green eyes softened at the comment.
Angeal mirrored his friend’s grin, reaching out to place a hand on the youngest First’s shoulder. “Heh… I think so too. And you know what? That’s all that matters right now.”
There was then a glove on his other shoulder, lightly squeezing through the unarmored coat.
“Agreed.”
…It was always times like these when Sephiroth never knew what to say, his gaze drifting back and forth between his two cherished friends, the two people in his life who would take so much time out of their evening to celebrate his birthday. Celebrate it when no one in the world seemed to acknowledge it; celebrate it by wanting to go somewhere private, somewhere where they could be relieved of their strenuous titles, even if it meant once again sneaking into the lower class training rooms to create that space for themselves. Breaking rules to build illusions that somehow felt so real, so unbreakable… That felt like so much more than a tangible mirage of pixels and holograms.
Or maybe it was just his current company that made it come to life.
Sephiroth swallowed, and he finally allowed a faint, quiet, but sincere smile to bud on his lips.
“Thank you… both of you. Truly.”
“Hey.” Now Angeal was the one to give his shoulder a squeeze. “This is what friends do, Seph. No need to thank us.”
“Well…” Genesis smirked. “You can thank us if you want to.”
“Genesis—“
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding...” Genesis swatted his hand through the air, laughing playfully, his gaze roaming around the sleepy, rustic village as a certain curiosity eclipsed him then. “You know what’s peculiar, though?”
“What’s that?” Angeal hummed.
Genesis canted his head, sweeping away a spill of auburn locks. “…Why was this town programmed into ShinRa’s system, anyway? I mean… Junon, yes, the company has a big influence there—same with many of the other VR locations. But why some unknown town in the middle of nowhere?”
Sephiroth had been silently wondering the same thing.
Humming thoughtfully, Angeal scratched his chin with his free hand. “You know… that is a good question. I’m not exactly sure.”
“You think they included it for variety?” Genesis crossed his legs.
“I… guess that’s possible,” Angeal shrugged. “But I’m not really certain how a town like this is a good sparring location.”
“True,” Genesis huffed out a laugh. “Can you imagine if I missed even a single Firaga? Entire place is made out of wood; it’d all go down in literal flames.”
Angeal’s eyes surveyed the town himself. “You’re… not exactly wrong there.”
“I know. Isn’t it kind of strange?”
“Very strange.”
Genesis shifted, his expression turning to that of mild amusement. “Maybe they finally caught us sneaking in here so often,” came the semi-joking proposal. “Just went ahead and said, ‘Minerva damn, if they’re going to keep using the system after hours, we might as well give them somewhere pretty to hang out.’”
“…And why would they reward us for breaking the rules?”Angeal raised an eyebrow.
Genesis smirked. “Because we’re special~”
“Yeah,” Angeal chuckled. “I don’t think so.”
“Well, what else do you—“
“There’s a Mako Reactor.”
Sephiroth’s voice was dull, matter-of-fact, his gaze having long drifted toward the wisp of jade smoke that floated in the distance, the unmistakable contours of a Reactor peeking its crown over the rugged mountain terrain. What was initially a simple scan of the village for any clues as to why ShinRa would implement it had quickly turned into a fixed, blinkless stare, the feline pupils vaguely pulsing, following into sync with his heartbeat as something within it seemed to be strummed. Strummed and grazed. Like an intangible pull that he couldn’t even begin to articulate, something in his psyche that was magnetically drawn, something that had been implanted in his skull that was directing him there. Something that was guiding him. Tugging him. Demanding him. Burning inside of him like stars, making him shudder with warmth, tight splays of fingers curling at his sides.
A calling…—
“Well, would you look at that…” Angeal squinted into the velvet gloom. “There is one. Good eye, Sephiroth.”
“Oh yeah.” Genesis spotted the structure himself. “Right there—just across that bridge.” Mako-fueled eyes narrowed slightly, canting his head, a deeper suspicion rising all again. “…Why would ShinRa build a Reactor here?”
Angeal blinked, his brows then furrowing in thought. “…Guess the small towns need power too.”
“So why doesn’t Banora have one?” came Genesis’s immediate question, and one that rendered Angeal momentarily silent as the contradiction sank in.
“…I don’t know.”
He glanced back toward Sephiroth, who was still fixated on the steely shape in the distance, his expression curling into a frown upon realizing the direction of their conversation.
“You know what? This was supposed to be a relaxing night—Sephiroth’s night. Let’s not think about this now.”
Genesis stretched his arms over his head. “Mnm… I suppose you’re right,” he hummed, and then quickly added, “but I’d be lying if I said my curiosity wasn’t piqued now.”
“Well, what do you want to do? Go and explore it—?”
Sephiroth’s voice cut through the air, immediate and bladed.
“Yes.”

Wandee Goodday Episode 4
I love this episode.
We learn more about Yak's past (and I didn't expect to be hit as soon as the episode started. But the way Dee comforted Yak during sleep reminded me so much of AkkAye in The Eclipse, so I'm not complaining). However, it does explain Yak's determination to graduate from university (and also shaped how Yak live his life. And I'm not sure whether other viewers noticed this, but I thought Yak has some innocence with the way he view relationship/life, which is such a juxtaposition with his more physical/aggressive job as a boxer)
I really like the progression of Yak and Dee's relationship. These 2 started of with such a good friendship and as they learn more about each other, their bond continues to go stronger. And it is interesting that these 2 are insisting they like other people when their friends and family saw how much gone they are for each other (even Taemrak, who Yak supposedly has a crush clocked on Dee wearing Yak's necklace!). Also, I will agree with Dr Kao (who is my pick for MVP this episode) that these 2 has gone beyond fake boyfriend.
Speaking of which, I absolutely adore Dr Kao. He = us (viewers) when he voiced out his thoughts to Dee. And the way he bluntly schooled Dr Ter when the latter can't keep his nose out of Dee's business (and his relationship with Yak) is amazing to watch!
Dr Ter continues to be jerk. And I may be reading this wrongly, but does it seems he is leading Dr Khawn? And he is perhaps in the closet himself? Anyway, it will be interesting to see what his angle may be - is he truly feeling jealous of YakDee relationship? Or feeling the sense of loss because Dee no longer worships him and he misses having someone boosting his ego?
On a plus side, I enjoy all the scenes involving YeiCher. It's clear they are super supportive for Yai and their family unit (it is a small unit but strong and full of love). More of them please!!!!
To close an almost perfect episode, the show top it off with a PSA regarding vaccination and safe sex practice (for that, this episode gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating from me!)
Bring on Episode 5! - I am hoping it will be about Dee's past (we got a hint of it previously and this episode focuses more on Yei and Yak's mom! But I am wondering what happened with the dad?)

...I just remembered I wanted to make my own statement on the AI thing. ^^;
So you've probably heard, but in case you haven't: Tumblr just sold out everyone's data to the AI trash compactors, they probably did it long before they gave us the option to opt out, and even if you do opt out they're probably still taking and using your work anyway (telling people to opt out instead of actually asking for their permission is already scummy business practice, but when it comes to AI it's functionally meaningless. :/ It's always "well, we're telling them not to use these people's data and we're hoping they'll be nice and go along with it" with no regulations or consequences if they decide to just steal everything indiscriminately...)
Despite that, I am not leaving Tumblr anytime soon. I'm looking into other sites*, but at this moment in time, I have nowhere else to go. ^^; Besides, I still like it here. When I left DeviantArt I was already getting sick of the place, having my art stolen regularly by "fans" and paradoxically getting less and less interest in my work over time. By the time the devs turned the website into eye-blinding slop with Eclipse, I was more than ready to move on.
But I still enjoy using Tumblr. I like writing long text posts that no one would bother to read anywhere else, I like answering asks, and I like the unique sense of humor and style among the users here. ^^ It would take a lot to force me out.
Also, I can take a little solace in the fact that AI-bros do not value "low-quality" art like mine. ^^; If messy cel-shaded sketches with visible pixels ever become popular, then I'll worry, but for now I think it's highly unlikely that anyone will want to wholesale regurgitate my art. If anything, I think prioritizing it in their datasets would only make them worse...and on that note, if you do have "high quality" detailed/painterly/semi-realistic art that would be targeted, I'd recommend 'poisoning' it with Nightshade/Glaze. Although I heard a rumor a while back that AI is "building immunity" to Nightshade and already learning to work around it, but I'm really hoping that was just a wishful lie from the trash compactors themselves. I haven't heard it repeated since then, so I think it's still worth a shot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So anyway, like the post I reblogged said, I think the best thing we can do now is to make it clear that WE DON'T WANT AI ART. We don't care how easy it'll be to instantly generate thousands of hours of mindless 'content' to look at; we don't want it. Since regulation is lagging so far behind (wanna know why Disney's copyright hounds didn't shut this down on sight? Most likely, they're hoping to profit from it down the line) the only way to fight this right now is with individual litigation and consumer demand.
Don't support projects made with AI**; don't hate-watch them or spotlight them. Focus your energy on the millions of human artists who are still here, and need your support now more than ever.
*I've heard people mention moving to Twitter and/or Artstation: fam, you're jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. ^^;;; IIRC, Arstation was one of the FIRST art sites to start flirting with AI, and Twitter has been selling off its users' data for several months already. Go there if you must, but don't go under the impression that it's "safer".
**Please keep a cool head when discussing AI art, and keep in mind that it used to mean something other than "mass theft". Artists have and still do create AI tools that are built on limited data sets with permission/compensation, that are used to aid them in their work and encourage human artistry (Vocaloids and DAW's, for instance) rather than stamp it out. Until a specific word evolves into popular use for exploitative AI, we're kinda stuck with this confusion, so remember to get the facts before you speak out.
P.S. Praying every night that this is a dumb fad that will soon die and go to the same hell as NFTs. >_< Praying every morning that the influx of AI art into its own datasets will eventually corrupt itself and make it useless. >_< >_< Praying every afternoon for both at once! >_< >_< >_< Like to charge, reblog to cast, all that

i’ve been thinking about dark sun for a while now so i’m dropping my thoughts into your ask box
when dark sun was first introduced i took ONE look at that mf and went “this man is def schizoid.”
i’m gonna dump the dsm criteria for szpd in here real quick
DSM-5 Criteria
- A pervasive pattern of detachment from social relationships and a restricted range of expression of emotions in interpersonal settings, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by four (or more) of the following:
1. Neither desires nor enjoys close relationships, including being part of a family.
2. Almost always chooses solitary activities.
3. Has little, if any, interest in having intimate experiences with another person. (note: i changed the wording from sexual to intimate here because it can be seen as an attempt to pathologize asexuality, and that’s not very cool of the DSM)
4. Takes pleasure in few, if any, activities.
5. Lacks close friends or confidants other than first-degree relatives.
6. Appears indifferent to the praise or criticism of others.
7. Shows emotional coldness, detachment, or flattened affectivity.
disclaimer here, considering the recent lore on dark sun, i don’t think he’s Entirely Schizoid anymore, but he def has Some Traits. I’ll mostly just be talking about my earlier thoughts on him before all the shit with Ruin, Nexus, and Eclipse happened
when he was first introduced (and through some of his subsequent interactions) i could SMELL the apathy and anhedonia on this bitch. i mean LOOK at this man
dark sun was obviously Very Detached and seemed unbothered by his solitude/overall Lack of Social Relationships, in fact i think he preferred it
i can’t say anything about him enjoying any activities (even with current lore) (which in it of itself might say something about him) i’m not sure if this guy truly Enjoys anything he does, he seems quite apathetic to it all
him lacking close confidents is. kind of self explanatory, he was very much Alone in his dimension (moon does not count, i’m not sure if that guy was even functional). his indifference is also self explanatory i think
i already mentioned his Detachment, but he definitely experiences flattened activity, i don’t think we’ve ever seen him sound/be remotely emotional
he also does appear to experience some level of grandiosity/superiority complex, which is actually something that can be experienced with SZPD (not to be confused with grandiosity in NPD)
for SZPD, they may experience grandiosity as a defense mechanism. it should be noted that people with SZPD who display these behaviors may not believe they are a “great” person. rather it’s a mask to protect themselves. think of it as a means to maintain their independence (avoid being “controlled”) or cover up their own emotional inavailability.
here’s a tumblr post with some screenshots about SZPD & grandiosity (from a book about SZPD) that you may find useful: https://hauntedselves.tumblr.com/post/715822672943202304/schizoid-defences-omnipotence-and-grandiosity
now, does dark sun genuinely believe he’s great/superior? honestly idk LMAO if anyone has any idea lmk
ANYWAYS, this is probably really jumbled (rip) but i tried my best. i’m just a guy with szpd who thinks it’s Really Neat when characters display symptoms of a disorder i have
i hope you enjoyed my Thoughts 🐐
Hi and thanks for the ask! And it actually makes a lot of sense as to why you would think he has ScPD considering it's commonly mixed up with ASPD by the general public.
Firstly, I think it's important to recognize that ScPD is a Cluster A disorder, and ASPD (his canon diagnosis) is a Cluster B disorder. The two clusters have similar but different criteria and generalized behaviors.
Both disorders involve difficulties in social interactions. ScPD individuals have discomfort in close relationships and may exhibit eccentric behaviors, while those with ASPD may disregard others' rights and engage in manipulative or deceitful behavior. People with ScPD may exhibit paranoid thoughts and suspiciousness, which can superficially resemble the manipulative and distrustful behaviors seen in ASPD.
ScPD is characterized by eccentric behavior, odd beliefs, and social anxiety. In contrast, ASPD involves a lack of empathy, disregard for social norms, and manipulative or anti-social behavior. Individuals with ScPD often behave oddly due to cognitive distortions and discomfort in social situations, not intending harm. Those with ASPD often act with intentional disregard for others' rights and may engage in harmful behavior without remorse.
Mental health professionals use structured diagnostic tools and criteria (like those in the DSM-5) to distinguish between these disorders accurately. This process includes detailed interviews, psychological assessments, and consideration of the individual's history and behavior patterns. This second part is especially important because if you look at the DSM-5 criteria a lot of behaviors are generalized and therefore a lot of different specific behaviors get glossed over. This is how I ended up with an autism diagnosis (I am not autistic in the slightest) and almost got shackled with a BPD diagnosis too because the people diagnosing me weren't taking the time to figure out what I was actually like and listening to the general behaviors.
Misunderstanding can occur in non-clinical settings due to a lack of detailed knowledge about the specific features of each disorder. The term "personality disorder" itself can lead to confusion, as people might assume all personality disorders have similar characteristics. Media often portrays individuals with personality disorders in a sensationalized manner. For example, characters with ASPD are frequently depicted in media as violent criminals or masterminds, while those with SCPD might be shown as eccentric loners or “weirdos.” These portrayals lack the nuance of real-life experiences and can lead to stereotypical views that do not accurately represent the spectrum of symptoms or the daily challenges faced by individuals with these disorders.
Some symptoms can appear similar across different personality disorders, leading to confusion. For instance, both ASPD and SCPD can involve social difficulties, but for very different reasons. Without a thorough understanding of the specific criteria for each disorder, people might conflate the two or misinterpret behaviors.
I think it's important to remember that as far as canon goes, he was labeled with ASPD from the get-go, and they have been extremely consistent with portraying ASPD traits in his character. However, as far as fanon goes, do whatever you want bro. I'm in full support of having headcanons and such.
As far as superiority, survey says yes. However, not in the sense of grandiosity that comes with arrogance or the belief that one is better than others which is commonly associated with disorders like NPD and ScPD, as well as others. I actually talked about what it's like for someone with ASPD/low empathy in this regard and I'll go ahead and grab that.
Fourthly, as someone who believes themself to be both superior and inferior of their peers at most all times, but never an equal, as well as having experience with other's who are similar to myself in nature, I will have to debunk that last statement entirely. You cannot feel superior to something if you do not understand it, because how else are you able to make that judgement. Most often people who genuinely know that they are above their peers understand their peers more than their peers understand themselves, and it is not a snobbish, arrogant superiority, but rather a knowledge, deep and lonesome in nature, that you will be lucky to chance upon another who can match your own understanding. It is not a cruel, vindictive behavior, but rather the turn of pages and the avoidance of others because they exhaust you by being overly concerned with things that you know have no real importance. People around you are tedious at worst, and amusing at best. There is a difference between genuinely being superior and being casted in this knowledge that is fact, and considering yourself better than another person. More often than not those who are genuinely above others in their understanding are the ones who are most aware that they are then rendered as less than, for they can no longer comfortably exist among their peers, and as humans are social creatures, one who cannot do such at ease are cast aside by the crowds as well. It creates both a hermit and a pariah out of a being.
This specific snippet was from a debate about Gemini having low empathy but also applies to characters (and people) with ASPD.
Also thank you for coming in here to share! I think you raise a lot of good points that would have been extremely relevant and informative, and still are extremely informative. Maybe not as relevant however since we already know that Helios is canonically ASPD, haha. However, it was so nice to hear your thoughts and about you're experiences (indirectly), so thank you so much for sharing (again)!

Well, I lasted three update emails. I was holding out on starting your new fic so I could binge a lot of chapters at once, but after getting the update email today I just couldn’t wait and to no one’s surprise, I loved every minute of it! Such an interesting world you’ve created and it’s only going to get better (for us, for Charles who knows).
I do have to ask since I’m not a fic writer - when you say you’re expecting this to be around 150-180k is that daunting for you as a writer or exciting? Right now you’re averaging around 8,000 words a chapter so with that average that’s around 20 chapters and with possible (please don’t view this as pressure) weekly updates that’s 20ish weeks of fic! I’m always so curious if this seems overwhelming to writers? I know as a reader it’s so damn exciting.
lol can you tell I’m a numbers girl and not a writer?
ah thank you! I'm so glad you're enjoying it, and I totally understand the urge to want to wait. I'm excited you're coming along on the journey anyway!
moving on to your question, I'll try to be succinct but to nobody's surprise I am an absolute yapper so it probably will be a long and winding answer.
I think firstly, you kind of almost explained it yourself, but in the opposite way. I'm a writer, not a numbers girl haha. I personally (though other writers may have different experiences) don't really think about how many chapters it will be, or how many weeks of uploads, so there is really no opportunity for it to be daunting because it doesn't really enter my mind.
The outline I have for this fic IS broken into chapters, but I already am not sticking to it. When I'm writing, I often explore a scene in much more detail (and therefore many more words) that I expected when writing the note for scene. e.g. today's chapter was like "1. Charles goes into pre-heat 2. max claims Charles 3. Pierre shows up" and then it ended up being 10k. I just finished writing chapter 6, which is also at 10k, and I've ended up having to shift half of what I outlined for chapter 6 into chapter 7 because I found a natural end point and I didn't want to end up with a 20k chapter.
so, for me at least, when I write I make a lot of decisions based on my instincts. does this scene need more, or is it dragging? is this chapter complete, or does more need to be added? is there too much in this chapter, and should I split it?
all of which is to say - my estimate of 150-180k is based on how much I have written so far (55k) and at what point in the story am I up to (I honestly don't think act 1 is done yet). I suspect my estimate of 150-180k is very low, and it's not getting to that word count that's daunting, because it's not what I'm actually working towards.
what IS daunting is trying to tell the story itself. are the characters right? are their intentions coming through? am I hiding what I want to hide? do I have a note of plot I've started at the beginning so I make sure I follow it through to the end? working towards answering those questions is what I'm thinking about, and that is always daunting, no matter whether its 10k or 200k (though.... PWP is always fairly mindless hahaha).
but it IS exciting. especially when people love something. I've written a lot of fic in my time, long and short, complete and not complete, and I can absolutely guarantee that the difference between exciting and daunting is how people react. when people love something ... the nerves are there, but they're eclipsed by the sheer joy of knowing you brought a smile to somebody's face with your writing.
not to get sappy, but I whole-heartedly believe that my purpose on this earth is to make people happy through my writing. if I know that I'm doing that, I could write 200k fic after 200k fic and die a happy woman.
I hope that kind of answered your question anon! long and winding, but fairly thorough? haha

GLITCH HAS A FIC! MY OFFICIAL ECLIPSE HAS A FIC!
After all this time, I can now give y'all a taste of what my crazy glitch Eclipse is like!
BIG BIG THANKYOU to @afloofwithmultipleinterests and @laughterfixs for writing this big boy with me. I hope you guys enjoy getting to meet him. I know Sun and Moon sure did.
Description: In the boys' loft, there is an arcade machine with a glitch. a sentient glitch. They find a way to visit him, and Sun finds himself at the mercy of someone much more powerful than he could have imagined. Luckily for him, and Moon, this guy just likes to have good old fashioned fun.
Life's All A Game
There had been talk between the two daycare attendants, talk of the box in their little nook. Hidden in their room was an arcade cabinet: Balloon World. There was something special about this box though. The game was tainted by a nasty glitch. Well, not nasty so much as strong, persistent... alive.
Eclipse was the name often given to him by players, a very fitting name as he was a disturbing mix of the Sun and Moon sprites. He liked the name. What he didn't like was the fact that, apart from people playing his game, he was always alone, and even then, not many people chose to play his game anymore. He was moved around the Pizza Plex quite a bit, so the only players for a while were staff members. That was until he was transferred to the DA's quarters. Did they play with him often? No. But they still kept him company. In fact, that talk between Sun and Moon? They were discussing a way to actually visit Eclipse. A few connectors and perhaps one of them could jack into the game and BAM! A FRIEND! Eclipse crossed his fingers and hopped around with excitement as he eavesdropped on the two.
"Are you sure you wanna do this?"
"Of course! I hate the thought of leaving him all alone in there, and if this works, then we can visit whenever we want!"
"sigh... Alright... There's no talking you out of it anyway, is there?"
"Nope!" Eclipse could hear the smile in Sun's voice. The little guy was both literally and figuratively a ray of sunshine. He was glad Sun was the one to try first. Kid had some pep in his step that Eclipse could use in his glitch life. Plus there was a little something on his mind that, so long as the plan worked, he would just have to try out.
"Here. Have a seat and I'll get you plugged in..."
"Okie dokie!"
"Hmmm, alright... This gooooes... here..."
"OOOooo...hehehe, that feels funny..."
"I'd imagine hehehe... Aaaaaand this goes riiiiight
-click- here."
"This is exciting!"
"Okay. Now we just have to use this little doodad to transfer your data and then you two can have a field day..." It seemed Moon was holding a device used to add and repair programming for the machine. Hopefully this works...
"Ready?"
"Ready! "
click
Sun felt a weird tingly energy and pull... In a flash he was no longer looking at the box but rather looking at darkness... Darkness?... Where was Eclipse? He was here somewhe-
"Hello!"
"AAAAAAA!" Sun jumped as he heard the playful call of the one he came to visit. Speaking of which, Eclipse was tall... And a lot more intimidating than he was when Sun was outside of the box...
"Oh! Ehehe... You... Y-you scared me ehehe... "
"Whoopsies! Sorry about that... " he grinned a wide, toothy grin. A chill ran down Sun's endo at the sight of the smile... Moon had a familiar one that often spelled trouble.
"Oh, no worries. I didn't really know what to expect... But it looks like it worked! And where are my manners!? I'M-"
"Sun! Yes, it's wonderful to finally meet you!" Eclipse interrupted, holding out his hand.
"You... You know my-"
"I know a lot about you and Moon. My game is always on, and so am I. I hear many things. " The grin on his face never wavered and neither did his offered hand. Sun finally took it and gave it a friendly shake.
"Well, I'm happy to finally meet you! " Sun gave his own winning smile in return…
There was a giggle from the glitch. One that possibly spelled trouble. Sun hoped he was just being playful and totally didn’t have anything planned or anything!
“Oh oh and I’m soooooo happy to have the company! It’s been so long since I’ve had anyone to play with! You’re the first one in ages!!”
Ages? Gosh he must’ve been lonely…
Well... they were here now! Sun was officially inside the box while Moon monitored things from outside it. Wait- play!? OH HE COULDN'T WAIT!
"OOOoooh!! You like to play!? Ooh! OOOH! What kind of game are you thinking of? A videogame!? A game of tag!? A-a- OOOO I'm so excited!" Sun beamed, his rays twirling similarly inside of the videogame universe as they would outside, while he bounced in place. Eclipse copied his bouncy nature.
"OOOOooooh! Oh yes, oh yes, oh YESSSSsss all the fun we'll have! So much to show, so much to see! All the games I like to play are my favorite! Except for the one that's my... most favorite!"
"MOST favorite!? Tell me! TELL ME! What is it!?" Sun exclaimed, still bouncing on his toes. The energy of the glitch changed dramatically, his body stilling and his expression morphing with an intimidating grin.
"One I've seen you and Moon play MANY, many times," he purred. Sun was taken aback by the sudden change in voice and demeanor but was hit with a second bout of whiplash when Eclipse spoke again.
"Well, technically I've only played it with myself, but I've heard that playing it with someone else is so much more fun!" Eclipse explained cheerily. The digital bot bent down to level his face with Sun's, his hat bobbing from the sudden movement.
"Ah! I see- wait.... YOU CAN SEE US FROM IN HERE!?" Sun shrieked with realization.
"AND hear you! Oh! In fact..." Eclipse cut himself off, and with a snap of his fingers a wall appeared showing a very startled Moon.
"WHOA! What the... Hey! Wow you really are in there, huh..." Moon rambled. The screen before him had rapidly changed from the starting screen of the game to an odd room with Sun and Eclipse standing in the middle of it.
"Hellooooo!" Eclipse sang, waving to the nap time animatronic. "Didn't wanna leave you out of all the fun!"
“Um…thanks?” Moon responded, unsure how else to really react to the situation. At least Sun seemed safe…that was the important thing.
“What…fun?”
“Yea! What game are we playing?!”
Eclipse grinned down at the bot, seeing just how much fun he was going to have with the little ball of energy already.
“Awww you mean you haven’t figured it out yet?!” Eclipse snickered, wiggling his fingers. “I’ll give you ooooone more hiiiiiint. What game are you always playing Sunny?”
Sun chuckled nervously, backing away from Eclipse all the while shaking like a leaf.
Oh he knew immediately what game that was.
"Wh-w- M-ME!? I couldn't possibly tell you what that could be... hahah..." Sun stuttered out.
How did he know!? The same way diVo had?? Gosh- how many people overheard their antics!???
Suddenly, A spotlight focused on Eclipse out of nowhere, a microphone appearing in his hand. The area darkened, Sun merely appearing within the light cast off of it.
"WWWWEEEEEEELLL FOLKS?! Can you tell Sun what time it is!?"
The spotlight fades into new scenery, a bright Gameshow- like area with Eclipse clones as the audience, and other three contestants. In the blink of an eye, the glitch's outfit changed to a sparkly, red sequined suit.
"It's TIME FOR-"
"NAME, THAT, GAME!" The crowd of Eclipses shouted, as the contestant Eclipses waved to the crowd.
"Thaaaats right!"
"W-wwhaaaaat?" Sun was genuinely confused... yet intrigued by the abilities Eclipse seemed to have.
"Whoa..." Moon said in awe, watching the scene before him. This guy was nuts. But he also seemed like the fun type of crazy. Ooohohoho, Moon knew what game this was too. He knew Sun was bluffing, knowing the name of the game as well. This was getting interesting.
“You know the rules and so do I!” The glitch snickered into his microphone. “You name that game and the winner reaps the reward! Are you ready?!”
The eclipse clones whistled, cheered and applauded.
“THEEEEEEEN LETS NAME THAT GAAAAAAAME!!”
Sun was teleported to one of the game stands in the row of Eclipses, a buzzer shaped in the form of Eclipse's hat below him.
Oh boy-
"Noooooooow fooooor our newest contestant here, we'll start out eaaaaasy peasy:"
Behind the game show host Eclipse, multiple giant cards popped into existence, floating in the air creating a wall of cards. The backs were facing Sun, so he couldn't see what they said.
"You pick a caaard, any card! The card you choose will have a hint as to what the game is! You only get threeee draws! Every Time you have to draw a hint card," Eclipse comically gestures over to an empty table similar to the constant one he and the duplicates were at, except there were three Xs lining the bottom.
"A me will appear, and give another hint to the name of the game. Three strikes and you're out! The last eclipse will have to tell you."
Sun, very confused, nodded his head at the rules to this... pre-game that was legitimately fun. Pre-game!? Do those even exist!?
Apparently they do here…
"Now, as our lovely guest~ YOU will be the one in control of picking the cards. So! What'll it be?"
"A-alright... Um... I'll piiiiiiiick... The one in the top left corner..." Sun responded cautiously. He'd never played a game like this before. And regarding the answer to the initial question, he did know, or was at least pretty sure he did. But if there was a chance he guessed wrong and accidentally gave Eclipse any ideas, then he'd rather just go along with the game show for now... Just to make sure. At the back of his mind though, he hoped it was the game he suspected it was.
"Nice choice, niiiiice choice my good clown!" The red jester code complimented cheerfully, pointing the microphone up to the selected hint card. The card flipped over, revealing a picture of a feather. Sun froze in place, nervous at the image.
He didn't know this was a VISUAL guessing game, He expected TEXT!
"Feathers are commonly used for this game. Hummmmm I wonder, oh I wonder..." The menace smirked. "Can anyone guess the game?"
The other eclipses pretended to think as hard as they could, one deep in thought, one contemplating briefly, and one glaring at the board in intense, head breaking mind waves, however coming up with zip, zilch, NUFFIN.
"Hmmm.... no one?" The glitch acted almost disappointed.
A glitch clone appeared over at the strike area, smirking over at Sun, wiggling his fingers at him threateningly. The solar animatronic jumped, giggling slightly as he hugged himself.
Oh... oh this was going to either be too long, or too short of a game
Moon snickered. This was actually really funny to watch. He had a feeling this wasn’t going to take very long at all.
“Thaaaaaat's one strike, dear Sunny! Hehe! Let’s hope your luck gets better! Care to choose another?”
Sun gulped feeling the giddiness in his tummy bubble.
“Uhm….I-I guess….that one?” He pointed to the middle diagonal from his previous choice.
"Aaaah interesting. Interesting! Let's see what we have here~" Eclipse teased before dramatically pointing to said card. It flipped over, revealing an open-mouthed smile with "HA HA HA" around it.
'Oh no oh no oh no' Sun's mind raced.
"Oooo hint número dos! Laughter is a main component and the ultimate goal of this game," the glitch announced, looking on toward the contestants. The three lookalikes were all scratching their heads while Sun stood there fiddling idly with his finger. He knew this game alright. But should he answer??? Or see what happens when times up???
Moon giggled at Sun's obvious aversion. So, Sun was going to take his chances, aye? Curious to what would happen if no one guessed, he bet. Honestly, Moon was too. This 'Eclipse' guy was a riot. Plus letting this play out would help introduce them to his personality more.
"Aaaaaanybody? Anyone? Anyone?"
Sun was clammed up and just shook his head.
"No one at all?" Crossing his arms with an exaggerated harrumph. Eclipse turned the microphone into a wand, and a giant silver crown appeared on his head briefly.
"Maybe this Eclipse can spell it out for you, dear!" He spoke as if he were Glinda the good witch, bippity boppity boo-ing the second Eclipse next to the first one.
The newest Eclipse opened an unspecified bag of chips, opening them to begin to snack... that is, until he pulled out the first chip.
They were off brand bugles.
Putting the chex-like chips on his fingers he began to play with the chips, tapping his fake nails on the table. The other Eclipse noticed, soon asking for some of his own-
OH NO!
NOW CLAWS WERE WIGGLING IN SUN'S DIRECTION-
The Eclipse didn't want to eat them, oh no, he wanted to TEASE him with them!
Sun jolted back a bit, trying to cover his tickle spots, a blush painting itself across his cheeks. Moon watched in awe, taking notes possibly.. Sun could NOT take this man's creative genius-... perhaps Moon should take an example?
"Is something wrong, player number 4?"
The judge eclipse smirked, now back in the previous game show attire.
"N-no, everythings fine. I'm just- very confused!"
Moon snorted on the outside of the arcade machine. One of two things would happen. Either Sunny won the game, or Eclipse did... This felt VERY familiar but Moon couldn't seem to put his finger on it... hmmm...
Eclipse batted a hand lightly at the statement.
"I see... are you suuuuure you can't guess it?" Eclipse suddenly materialized in front of Sun, leaning closer and closer into his face with every emphasis. "Are you absolutely positiviley EXCRUCIATINGLY sure??!"
Sun tilted his head further and further back every time the glitch got closer, stopping a little past his shoulders.
"...yyyyyyeessssss?"
Eclipse disappeared, reappearing back in his original position, purple dust falling at his feet.
"Yes, yes, yess... I do apologize for my eccentricity," He playfully said in dramatics before speeding through his sentence like an auctioneer. "Being cooped up in here, alone watching from the outside in can really do a number on a glitch- ANYHOO!"
Eclipse outlined the bottom of the giant screen with the microphone. "Your laaaaast card! If you can't guess the game after this card, you lose... and that will determine what happens in the game in question"
"Uhhhh..." Sunny was practically radiating giddy anxiousness. What card? What card- WHAT CARD!?
"UHHHHHHHH- th-thaaaat one?" Sun pointed at the card directly in the center of the board. ... surely it couldn't be as teasy as the rest of them, right?
Right???
The card flipped over at eclipse's command... revealing a picture of Sun with an arm arched over his forehead, like a stereotypical damsel in distress. The bottom of the card contained a sentence with a blank.
'Oh no, don't _____ me!'
It said, ...
Oh STARS.
Why was that an image on the cards?! HE WAS BEING CALLED OUT!!
He gulped and shrunk back shyly. Eclipse looked among his contestants with a wide grin.
“My my, still no answer? Seems I’ve stumped everyone!” He looked to Sun with that same devious grin.
“What say you Sunny?”
“Uh-um…I…”
Moon unconsciously drew his face closer and closer to the screen. 'Ohohoh Sunny What are You gonna say?'
All of the Eclipses had their eyes trained on the solar bot. All eyes were officially on him.
"I...I-I...p-pass?" Sun squeaked out, shutting his eyes tightly.
A comical 'WAMP-WOMP' sound effect played as the host's faceplate turned into a giant red 'X' for as long as it lasted.
"I'm teeeeerribly sorry there friend, but it appears you're out of turns!"
Eclipse flashed Sun a sinister smile, soon facing towards the game screen.
"WEEEEELL there ya HAVE it Moon! That's game!"
Moon lightly gasped, backing away a bit. Eclipse could hear him right now-right now!?
"You... can hear me?"
"Of couuuurse I can, clear as day, and Sun can too. At least he will after losing!"
He leaned a bit further towards the screen, closing his voice range off with the back of his hand.
"Or is it winning since there's a prize for him in the end?" he whispered.
Before Moon could respond, the 'camera' flashed to the last X-Eclipse as he made his way to the strike podium, who soon decided to- split his arms off into...
I-into..
Two pairs.
The crowd of eclipses disappeared, leaving only Eclipse, and the strike-Eclipses in a VASTLY different area with Sun by their side... at least for the time being.
Sun gulped. Was…was what he thought was gonna happen actually going to happen?! What was it with everyone trying to tickle him?! ….not that he minded…at least it was fun. BUT STILL!
“I uh…hehe…that’s a lot of arms you got there friend…”
"Yes. Yes. Do you like them? I can add more" the glitch teased stepping closer and closer to the smaller bot. Sun giggled nervously, slowly backing away. "Where are you going?"
"N-nowhere! J-just... You're makin' me a little nervous is all ehehe..." Sun stuttered out. In a flash, the original Eclipse disappeared and Sun immediately backed into something.
"Howdy, there!" Eclipse greeted once again, smiling widely down at the startled bot and giving him a loose hug. Sun broke the hug, spinning around but finding that the other Eclipses had closed in. He was surrounded.
"I-I-I don't w-want any trouble. Is this all n-necessary? Seems like overkill, w-wouldn't just one b-be enough?" Sun questioned, trying to bide what little time he had left. Eclipse chuckled at the attempt.
"Awww, well maybe if you'd played the game instead of staying so silent, you'd only have one of me to deal with~" the glitch explained, his voice changing for the second half of his chide. He punctuated his words with wiggling fingers poised in the air.
"EEEEP!" Sun squeaked covering his eyes. Those teasing fingers before him were too much to even look at.
Eclipse chuckled a bit at the unexpected nature of his new playmate, this was turning out to be MUCH MORE fun than he expected! He didn't know what Sun was thinking, nor how he'd react to certain spots- at least, from what he hadn't overheard from the daycare.
This was going to be VERY interesting...
Eclipse firmly, but gently raised Sun's arms above his head using two of his clones. The two clones in question held the arms with two arms each from two different pairs, holding his wrists and forearm.
"Silly thing, your hands aren't supposed to be here, they're supposed to go up here!" Eclipse teased.
Sun gasped before squealing out at the action. NO! His arms were raised so effortlessly- this was NOT fair at ALL.
"WAAAAaaahahaahahait!" Sun snorted out, already anticipating what was to come. The Eclipse's stuck to crowding his sides, but leaving room for the bot to breathe.
"Hmmmmm?" The Eclipses' paused hands floated just over the spots they were going to attack. One pair of arms floated over his sides, another over his tummy, his ribs, and, of course, his underarm joints.
"EEEHEHEEK!! Ohohonooo- uhhuhuh- kkheehkkk aren't you going to-?"
"Only when you give the okay! I may be a glitch, but I still follow the rules! (mostly). Is this okay Sunny-boy? Or should we take it down a peg?"
Sun gulped nervously. Oh now he was gonna make him ask for it?! He wiggled in place, anticipating wiggly fingers at any moment.
“I-I uhm…ehehe…I’mfinewithit!” He blurted out quickly. It only made the glitch grin wider at the little sunshine.
“Ohhhhhh?? What was thaaaat, Sunny? I didn’t QUUUUUITE catch what you said there!”
Sun let out a whine. “D-don’t make me say it…”
"Awwww, I'm not making you say anything. That's completely up to you! Unless... You're only saying that because you're too shy to say something. DON'T WORRY! We're all friends here, right!?" Eclipse asked, looking back through the glass screen showing Moon. That once again startled Moon, but he was very invested in the scene before him. It felt like a 4th wall break everytime, though.
Sun cheeks began to heat up again. Oh he wanted to hide his face so badly! But he couldn't. He was stuck, stuck seeing those fingers tantalizingly close and the big goofy grin stretched across his newest friend's face. Underneath everything, the guy seemed genuine. He just had a rather eccentric way of showing it... But he did seem to care about Sun's comfort nonetheless.
"W-well... You can.... can t.... t-ti... tickle me-" Sun struggled out, immediately snapping his mouth shut again, eyes closed tight and cheeks red as cherries.
The Eclipses collectively grinned wider at that, the fingers now slowly wiggling down to the surface of their targets. Sun's rays picked up speed, spiraling like a pinwheel in a tornado.
"Tiiiiiiickle tiiickle-"
They touched down, picking up speed, wobbling and prodding the tickle spots with vigor.
"TICKLE"
The reaction was instant, Sun tried to hold it in with red, puffy cheeks, but it lasted for only a second before a squeal cut through the internalized snorts.
"BWAAAAAHAHAHA!! EEEeeehehehahaahaEEEEE!!!"
Moon playfully smirked at the screen, eyes filled with evil intent. He couldn't join in tickling him, 'don't ask to, you would be intruding…'
But he could tease!
... as long as he wasn't being a third wheel... again.
"Is something wrong, Sun?"
Oh that MENACE-
"It doesn't tickle does It? Awwww... poor thing"
“YOU-YOOHOHOHOHOU SHUHUHUUUUSH!” Sun cackled out, squirming in place as multiple fingers attacked him.
The original eclipse snickered as he looked right at Moon, the tickling never lightening for a moment.
“Hehehe! Did you want to join?! It’s more fun with EVERYONE!“
Moon blinked at the question. He couldn’t possibly…
“Uh…j-join?”
"OF COURSE, It is my game after all~" Eclipse informed with a grin. He and his clones paused their play while Eclipse worked his magic.
"Bippity boppity boo,
Now you can play the game too~" Eclipse sang. The screen momentarily glitched out before clearing up again. The perspective had changed, though. Moon's view had a close up on the scene. But the oddest thing was the two feathery icons on the screen. Moon caught on immediately, playing with the joystick and finding that he could indeed control those feathers. He tapped at the buttons, observing how one flicked the feather on the right and the other button fluttered the one on the left.
"OHOhoho you're a fast one, aren't you! AhahaHAHA! No need to tell you twice!" the glitch teased. Sun's eyes widened at the sight, and he began to wriggle around.
"WAhahaiheeheeheet! I'm nahahat reheheheheadyheehee!" Sun giggled in anticipation, shaking his head. But contrary to his words, his rays were spinning happily.
"Not ready!? Well I ain't gonna wait here all day!" Eclipse teased, wiggling his fingers like the menace he was. Oh he wanted to start already, Sun and Moon did too, but Eclipse was addicted to these little games. If Sun was going to be stubborn, Eclipse was going to play along.
"Buuuuut if you say so!" He exclaimed, all Eclipse's putting their free hands behind their backs.
'Dirty trickster' Moon thought to himself. He knew full well Sun couldn't STAND moves like this. It forced him to admit something that was still embarrassing to admit no matter how many times he said it out loud.
"WAHahahit- nohoho I mean-" Sun squeaked, and snorted before playfully groaning. "Dohohon't stop! That's not fahair!!"
.... did he just SAY THAT!?
Shocked by his own words, Sun's whole face turned a bright orange.
tartar sauce...
"Oooooh! Hear that Moon and Eclipses? So EAGER! It's absolutely impossible not to tickle a ray of sunshine so willing~."
Moon chuckled beyond the arcade box, equipping the stick in one hand, and leaving the arcade buttons to his other.
"I agree. Wouldn't want to keep him waiting!"
The Eclipses finally put those multiple arms with wiggling fingers back to use, touching down on Sun's tummy, ribs, and arm joints starting slowly from the wrists down. Moon on the other hand flicked those feathers across areas the Eclipses hadn't managed to touch yet. His rays, his buttons, his cheeks, and his neck. The feathers that lightly swirled and plumed gently over the ticklish spots, versus the much more bold tickling from eclipse made Sun chortle and snort up a storm.
"KYAAAHAHA- SNORT snort SNORT! EEEEHEHEeheheheahaha!! NyHohoHOHOMYSTARS! IHihiHit TiHIHIckles!!" Sun couldn't help but state the obvious as he endured the playful attacks. He stomped his feet as the joyous music of his laughter filled the air.
"Heheh- really now? We had no idea!" Moon replied, sweeping the feathers at his knees down lower.
Moon could tell his friend was having a BLAST! However there were a couple of spots he and the Eclipses hadn't covered yet...
"Oh dear oh dear oh dearie me..." The original Eclipse said, starting to lighten up the prodding on Sun's tummy, vouching to swirl an index finger around the entire area. "Men, it appears I've found something!"
Eclipse transformed into a pirate version of himself, the three others turning into crew members, buccaneers. "Where ye be pointing Cap'n?!"
The other hands started to slow, walking down to the shore that was Sun's tummy, the Cap'n standing right infront of Sun's dent.
" 'X' marks the spot, me harties!" With that eclipse drew an X over Sun's dent, causing him to let out a gleeful yelp.
"WAHAHAIT!! BUHUT- mUhuHuh TuhuhummEEEHEHEEE-"
"Ohoho! But it be not the tummy we're after!" Captain Eclipse of the Great Glitchbeards proclaimed. A single finger scratched and wriggled just above the dent, only causing Sun to arch his back and squeal out.
"EEP NUUUHUHUHUHUHUUU!"
"It be this little divot we're after!" Down moved the finger, now scratching into the ticklish dent that was now sending poor Sunny into hysterics.
"AYEEEEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEEE-SNORT- AHAHAHEEHEEHEHEEHEEHEE! NAHAhao pleeHEEHEASE! TOOHOOHOO TIHIHIHICKLEEHEEHEEHEEEEE-SNORT-!" Sun squealed out, squirming as much as he could. His rays spun wildly along with his laughter.
"Ah! There MUST be treasure lying in this very spot! I can HEAR it! Like the music of a siren" Eclipse announced, looking around at his crew.
"Treasure, treasure, where's the treasure? What's gonna happen when we find that treasure?"
"What's gonna happen is we'll all be rich"
"We'll have giggles to last forever"
The Eclipses sang a familiar kids show tune, tickling the dent, and the area around it.
"EEEEEEEHEHAHAAAAHAHA-SNORT OHOHOKAY- EHAHA- SOHOHOMEWHERE EEHEHEELSE!!"
The pirate uniforms disappeared, making the Eclipses turn back to normal, and letting Sun breathe, leaving only the light feathers that barely touched. Sun was reduced to mere giggles, his fans cooling his systems as he stayed in his own little version of candy land.
"Somewhere else? Of course of course... after the little star rests we can go somewhere else.. but... where else can we go...?"
Eclipse spotted the feathers that slowly started to dance over Sun's ankle.
"Kehehehe- snort- eeehehe... SKSkskshshk... I hahave an ihidea whahat youohou two ahare thihihinking, And ihi have one thihing to sahahay..."
Moon stopped the feathers for a moment, looking at his counterpart, as did the Eclipses.Sun’s rays spun as he stuck his tongue out at his attackers, despite knowing how dangerous it was.
“You’re all buttsfaces!!”
Moon raised a playful brow. Ohoho so that’s how he wanted to play. Eclipse let out a gasp, three of his crew members covering eyes, mouth and rays.
“You sir have offended the likes of my great clan! Prepare for punishment!!”
Off came the slippers
“Your toes are ours!”
"WAIT! WAIT! NOHOHOT THE TOES! NAHAHAHAT MY TOHOHOHOOOOES!" Sun shrieked, desperately trying to kick his legs. The Eclipses were far stronger than he was and lifted his ankles, leaving him in a sitting position in the air. His feet were now fully visible to the devious lunar bot in control of the feathers and left in reach of all of the Eclipses. Sun was in trouble. BIG trouble.
"WAIT A MINUTE! I-I-I MISSPOKE! I MEANT TO SAY, UH... B-B... uhhh... NUTS! Wait... Bots??? YEAH! BOTS! YOU'RE ALL BOTS! SEE?! Ehehehehe, b-bots..." Sun stuttered looking around at the faces of his captors.
The eclipses swarmed like a murder of crows at Sun's bare tootsies, forming back into one being, the only difference was... he kept the arms of the duplicates. "AAAahhhh much lonelier, but so much more SPACE TO BREATHE! Now, where were we? OOOOOOOHHHHH yesssss! yesyesyesyesyeeeesssss!!!!"
One pair of hands gestured playfully at Moon, signaling him to bring the feathers closer to the sensitive canvases.
"Please, be my guest! I'll come in when he leaaast expects it~" Sun gasped at the playfully ominous threat before the feathers came dancing near.
"N-Now MOONIE! You- d-d-don't need to do this!"
The giant moon looking in from the arcade machine screen gave that oh so familiar evil grin.
"Oh, no, Sundrop, I INSIST! After all… ,"
The feathers touched GOLD, quite literally so.
"... we wouldn't want you hidin' those PRECIOUS giggles of yours, would we?"
“EEEHEHEHEEK!!” Sun gave out a squeal, trying everything to kick his legs and wiggle his defenseless toes.
“M-M-MOOOHOHOOOHOOONIEEEHEHEHEHEEE!! PFFT PLEHEHEHEHEAAAASE!!”
“Please what, Sunny? Don’t you love this spoooot?” Moon cooed.
"IHIHIHIM TIHIHICKLISH THEHEHERE-snort-EEHEEHEEHEE!" Sunny squealed with delight. He'd never experienced having two devious ticklers working together so smoothly. They'd barely started and were already a good team. And that was bad news for Sun…
The feathers stroked up and down his arches, flipping to the quill of the feather to scribble shapes and letters. Sun screeched joyfully, continuing to wiggle his feet aimlessly, that is, before two of Eclipse's SIXTEEN arms came to hold them still. "Now hold veeeeery very still. This won't hurt one bit!"
"WAITWAITWAITEEHEHEHEE!" Sun cried out at the feeling of being restrained. "THAHATS NOHOHOT FAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAIR!!"
"Not fair? Not fair?! Not fair tra la la?!" Eclipse snickered. "What isn't fair is you tryin to keep all your tickle spots to yourself! That isn't the point of this game Sunny!"
"You did lose fair and square." Moon smirked at the wriggling bot. He knew him better than anyone, he was having fun with these games.
Sun thrashed his head around and wiggled his toes desperately. His rays spun rapidly as the playfulness continued.
"OHOHOHO! NAHAHAT THE FEEHEEHEEHEET! NOT MY FEEEEEHEEHEEHEET! I CAHAN'T STAND IT!" Sun shrieked out.
"Can't stand it!? Why of course you can't, silly! You're up in the air! You can't stand at all! Hohoho!" Eclipse was a clever little devil. That's for sure. The response got a giggle out of Moon.
Soon, hands joined the fluttering plumes that were now on and between his toes. The hands worked their magic, scritching everywhere in sight they could find on those bean-paws, swirling, poking, spidering.
Sun cackled as the two tickle monsters kept their focus solely on his toe beans and paw pads. Gosh... this was so much fun! However, every good thing must come to an end, and admittedly, Sun, red faced and rays spinning, was ready to wave the white flag.
"EEEEAAAHAHAAHA- OHO-KEEHEHEEHEE- OKAHAHAY! MEHEHERCEEHEHEE!"
And just like that, it ended. The feathers Moon controlled stopped and moved away. Eclipse's extra arms proofed away, leaving two behind which he used to hold Sun's giggly, shaky form.
Sun laid there in the glitch's arms, giggling and catching his breath. "Ohohoo...stahahahars..."
Eclipse wore the biggest grin as he looked over the tired giggle star.
"Hehehe! Sorry! Hopefully that wasn't toooo far! I know I can be a bit....Much"
"Ehehen-n-NO! Nahahat too much! Eeheeheehee -snort-" Sun giggled, waving his hand, warding away the glitch's concern.
"Ah, good, GOOD! Phew!" Eclipse dramatically proclaimed. He was genuine though. Even under his silly, crazed surface, he had a real heart.
After shaking off his previous anxiety, Eclipse snapped his fingers, making two comfy red and yellow lounge chairs, the inside of the arcade box turning into the equivalent of Eclipse's house. The stylistic choice TRULY described 'Eclipse' letter for letter.
Moon tried to keep his smile up as he quite literally felt he was watching from the outside in. He really wanted to join the two of them inside the arcade box, sitting in a chair... yet at the same time, could they trust him to let them back out? Loneliness could make even the nicest person do the craziest things, and he and Sun needed to be there for the kids.
"Sit back and relaaaaaax Sun my boy. Would you like something to eat? To drink perhaps? Milk? Spiders? Fizzy-faz? Fazzy-fizz?"
"OOOoooh!!! Milk please!"
Moon's eyes widened as Sun just seemed to gloss over the 'spiders' option.
"Of course, one seconnnnnd!!"
Eclipse made a cartoonish dash into the kitchen, pulling out two cartons of milk, and poofing back in front of Sun in a cloud of smoke.
"Chocolate or strawberry!?"
Sun blinked. That’s not what he expected.
“Uh-what about regular?”
Now it was Eclipse who tilted his head in confusion, his hat flopping over as he did so.
“Whatcha mean silly?! This IS regular milk!! Hehehe!!! ….
Isn’t it?”
Sun stared for a moment before doubling over in a new bout of laughter.
"EEHEEheeheehee-snort- N-nohoho, regular milk doesn't have ahany special flavors ehehe," Sun giggled at his host's silliness. Eclipse made a deadpanned stare as he stood there still holding his offerings.
"My life is a lie... ANYWHO, would you prefer this so called "regular" milk?" the glitch offered with a smile. Sun was silently eyeing the strawberry milk.
"A-actually... I've never really had milk before , not really supposed to have fizzy-faz either, whoopsies, but um... could I try the strawberry please?" Sun asked politely. This guy was really hospitable. He just went from tickling him silly to being the master of pampering a guest. Moon looked on longingly, staying silent as he became closer and closer to asking his own question.
"Oooooooone strawberry extraordinaire coming RIIIIIGHT UP!"
Eclipse spawned and used an extra pair of arms to hold the strawberry milk gallon while in two others metal shaker cups appeared. He poured the strawberry milk in halfway to one of the tins, all the while chopped strawberries splashed in the milk every time he opened the container.
While doing the parlor tricks he glanced up at Moon who was now awkwardly looking away from the scene. Oh that would NOT do at all.. all guests should feel welcomed!
“Ohoooho! How rude of me! Heheh! Care to come and join us Moon?! This milk isn’t going to drink itself!!”
Moon blinked, looking back at the screen. He shied a bit.
“I uh…don’t know if it’s such a good idea….s-someone’s gotta make sure Sunny can get out alright when we have to go back and watch over the kids.”
He probably sounded rude…and probably showed how much he actually trusted eclipse. Which…wasn’t very much…at least not that much…What would he do if he had both of them? Never let them leave?
He wasn't necessarily eager to find out... Eclipse heard the disappointment and the uncomfortable strain in Moon's reply. He conjured up a table to set down his concoction, turning to face Moon directly.
"I know you two take care of the children. I can hear the joy outside, you know... Not only will I get you two back to your bodies without a fuss, but I expect those kiddies to be well taken care of, something I know full well you boys do everyday." Eclipse's face was serious, his voice contrary to his normal tone. That was not lost on Moon.
"O... Okay..." With that, Moon grabbed the extra set of wires and plugged himself in carefully. He held the box he used to transport Sun and activated it again, sending him into the digital world.
Before he knew it, Moon pixelated into existence much similar to how Sun had, now actually BEING in the living room with the group. It was a whole other experience from just seeing it from the screen.
"Woah..." he looked around with awe, vigorously turning to look at every detail... It was absolutely breathtaking. Chaotic, but cozy.
The shaker containing Sun's Strawberry Milk Extraordinare or 'SSME', had been picked up by Eclipse before being poured into a yellow boba-tea cup with Sun's face on it. The little Sun face wore pinkish-purplish star sunglasses. Pink ice, (possibly strawberry flavored ice?) decorated the practically sparkling liquid, before being garnished with a strawberry rice crispy treat straw.
Eclipse handed the handcrafted drink to the solar animatronic, who, in return, looked at it in awe. After Sun started drinking the absolutely DELICIOUS strawberry milk (seriously- HOW CAN HE TASTE IN HERE!?), Eclipse brought his attention to Moon.
"Okay, YOUR turn Mr. Naptime!" A bar-keep outfit appeared on the goofy glitch with a feint poof along with a mini towelette and yet another Boba tea cup. This time it had Moon's face on it... However, his hat was missing.
"I.. uhm- w-well... what do you got?"
"Oh I have everything." His head turned around in a circle for emphasis.
"Everything?"
"Of course! My game, my rules, remember. Watch!"
Eclipse set the Boba cup down on the table before cupping his hands up together.
"Usually I don't let people see this, but since you're sooo very curious, I'll make you two an exception!"
Like magic, green numbers and commands became visible, merging together into the shape of, what do you know, Moon's hat.
"You just-"
"Made a cookie out of thin AIR!!"
"PFFFFTT not air, ya sillies, CODE. Again, my game, my rules!"
With that, eclipse took the cookie in his hand, and examined it. "Hmmm.. seems familiar..." he looked between Moon, and the Boba cup tapping his chin before finally realizing. "OOOOHH sihihilly me! I forgot your santie-claws hat."
Eclipse magically flung the cookie at the Boba tea glass, making the hat morph into the art as if it had been there the entire time.
"Now... where were we? AHHHHH YESyesyesyesYEEEEEEES! Your drink?"
Oh... Moon still hadn't thought of one yet. THINK MAN, THINK!!
WAIT-
...
He DID always want to know what a certain blue milkshake tasted like.
"A... blue-moondrop milkshake please..? If it's not too much to ask for, it's really no problem I can take something else if it's too much tr-"
"Woooooooahhh there bucko! Slow your horses," the glitch interrupted with a gentle smile. "Remember, I ASKED you what you wanted, and I will give it to you. Heck I'm making it right now the old fashioned way!"
Oh... well, that was awfully sweet of him..
"Ooooo your own milkshake?" Sun smirked just a wee bit. Moon did tend to eye when kids bought it.
"I'm just-" He blushed, slightly embarrassed, "curious is all! How can something blue taste good?"
The sound of liquid frozen delight pouring into a cup snapped Moon's attention away from his embarrassed state... "Voila! Bon apatite mon ami"
Eclipse handed him the drink on a silver platter, for which he took almost immediately, gawking at the talent.
He gave the shake a giant slurp... and..
"AMAZING!" He exclaimed, continuing to drink the drink along with his friend.
Eclipse giggled like a gremlin at the reaction, making the unneeded equipment disappear with a SWOOP!
He reappeared in his chair, trying to release his pent up energy through fidgeting with his hands.
The two of them talked to Eclipse for a while while drinking, cracking jokes, creating visual gags, and getting to know glitch overall...
By the time their drinks were finished, the two seemed to be getting very tired...
Eclipse knew what that meant, they would likely leave soon.. and if they were only to have visited just this one time, he would still be happy anyone would have known of him at all.
"Goodness me... sleepy bots?" Glitch tsked, "No if ands or buts, you are GOOOOOING BACK!"
Without warning, Eclipse, one by one zipped their consciouses back into their bodies. Sun and Moon let out gasps upon re-entering their suits, realizing what happened and gently unplugging their cords from the arcade machine. Glitch stood looking at them from the inside of the arcade machine, smiling and waving. Sun and Moon waved back before their lack of energy hit them.
Sun let out a yawn as well did Moon soon after... geez... they really were tired.
Sun stretched before responding to eclipse
"That was so much fun, Eclipse! We'll be sure to come back soon and play with you again." Sun happily chirped. Eclipse tried processing what Sun said.... Come back? Soon? They actually liked him?
Ding!
Did that mean they were friends now?! Oh... he was OVERJOYED! EXCITED, HYPED! ANY AND ALL of the words COMBINED!!
"Of course of COURSE, my friends. Come back anytime! I'll be here waiting for ya, I promise."
"Yeah... we'll definitely visit you as much as we can. It was nice talking to you, aaaaaand tickling the snot out of Sun with you!" Moon added.
Sun gasped before playfully poking at his Moon's sides.
"Don't get too cocky Moon! I have fingers and I WILL use them when you least expect it."
Moon giggled a bit, shying away and lightly pushing Sun's hands back.
"Nohohokahay- I'll stohop!"
"You better~" Eclipse warned, digital fingers wiggling at the screen. "You aren't safe from ol' Clipsey either!" the glitch jested. As the bots began to make their way to their charging station, Sun and Moon spoke in unison.
"Good night, Eclipse."
"Good night boys! Have sweet dreams…"
The glitch sighed as he watched them leave the room. He was happy… truly happy. After all these years, his torturous solitude was over.
He wasn't alone anymore.

Nintendo Switch Weekly Round-Up for the Week Ending September 28, 2024
Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the Nintendo Switch Weekly Round-Up for the week ending September 28, 2024. This has been a busy week for new releases, with a handful of obvious attention-grabbers and a lot of weird and interesting smaller games. I've included as many as I could fit, and I hope this helps you separate the cool junk from the boring junk. Let's check out this week in the world of Switch!
Select New Releases
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom ($59.99)
A brand-new top-down Zelda game, this time featuring… Zelda?! Wow! Link has gone missing, and Princess Zelda is going to flex her magical power to save him and the rest of Hyrule. She has some help from a fairy named Tri and a magical artifact called the Tri Rod, the latter of which opens up all kinds of fun-looking mechanics. I might do a review of this one, in case anyone needs a review of something like this. You probably have already decided if you want it or not, though.
EA Sports FC 25 Standard Edition ($59.99)
It's the latest edition of EA Sports' long-running series of soccer/football games, and I'm not going to disrespect either of us by pretending I know what's new here or even what makes one of these good or bad. Consider this a notice that it is now available for general purchase on Switch, no more and no less.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed ($59.99)
Warren Spector's much-hyped Mickey game gets remade for the Nintendo Switch with this release. I haven't played the remake yet, but the original game was decent enough. If nothing else, this gives me the chance to remind everyone that Disney traded play-by-play commentator Al Michaels' contract to NBCUniversal to acquire Oswald the Lucky Rabbit for use in this game. And, you know, elsewhere. But the first use was in this game, and that's really funny to me. Anyway, try the demo and see how it sits with you.
Iron Meat ($19.99)
Hailed by folks with numerous conflicts of interest with the publisher as "better than Contra" and by others as "a pretty good run-and-gun", Iron Meat is another solid entry in a genre that has seen a decent amount of love in recent years on the platform. Is it better than Blazing Chrome? Better than Operation Galuga? Does it matter? If you enjoy games like these, stop comparing flavors and dig in! You never know when winter is coming for any given genre.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 ($39.99)
Sure, why not more World Brothers? Look, this isn't the Earth Defense Force some people would ideally want to see on Switch, but this is what we've got. And it's fine for what it is. Very much in line with the first World Brothers in design and performance, so if you liked that game on Switch then you're all set here. Similarly, if you found the technical sacrifices were too much in the original game, you won't have a better time with this one.
Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition ($24.99)
Why would you buy Worms Armageddon for twenty-five buckeroos when you can get W.M.D. for six dollars during its very regular sales? The addition of the Game Boy Color version of the game probably won't be much of a pot sweetener for many, but this being a stealth Digital Eclipse Gold Master entry might. Yes, you get that timeline hotness! You don't even have to like the game, so long as you have an interest in gaming history. I can vouch for that, because I hate this game but I think this is a neat release that could have been even better as a full-blown Worms collection.
Cash Cow DX ($5.99)
Moo-ve over, Donut Dodo. There's a new retro-style arcade action game in town, and it's ready to milk you out of your six bucks. This game comes from the developer of Donut Dodo and has a lot of the same qualities to it. You're running around each stage trying to grab all the cash while avoiding enemies. Very enjoyable stuff. Feel free to have a look at the review I posted yesterday, if you haven't already seen it.
REYNATIS ($59.99)
Oh, it's FuRyu time again. I suspect we've got the usual FuRyu experience on our hands here. Which is to say, a rather middling game hobbled by its low budget with a few glimmers of greatness that might be enough to satisfy a few players. This one is an action-RPG, and the famous names that have been affixed to lure in the blissfully ignorant are scenario writer Kazushige Nojima (Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey) and composer Yoko Shimomura (Code Name: Viper). This game is not very good at all. I might write up a review to explain why, if I have the time. No one brought their best here, but it's FuRyu, so what do you expect?
3 Minutes to Midnight ($24.99)
It's never encouraging when you see that registered trademark name on a title. It suggest a certain set of priorities that are sometimes at odds with a quality creative endeavor. Fortunately, this bucks that assumption by being a rather decent point-and-click adventure game. It's one aimed at the more hardcore fans of the genre, as it is quite lengthy and involved, but there's nothing wrong with that. If you're a fan of the genre, this is worth investigating.
Go Mecha Ball ($19.99)
Add another twin-stick roguelite to the pile. We've got tons of these, so what's this one's gimmick? Basically, you can ball up Samus Aran style and roll around at high speeds. You can get a bunch of weapons, abilities, and upgrades to help you on your way, which is more or less how these things go. There's something here, but I don't know that the spark of potential properly ignites. Not bad, but I wouldn't rush out and buy it or anything.
Exographer ($19.99)
An exploratory adventure that sees you on a rescue mission on an alien planet. You'll explore levels, investigate an extinct civilization, and earn new powers that will help you reach previous inaccessible areas. There are puzzles to solve, and you'll have to make use of your special camera to figure things out. This game is really pushing science as its selling point, so we'll have to see if that results in an enjoyable game or not.
Lets castle ($13.99)
I've retained the exact title from the eShop here, and believe me, I also find it a little irritating. This is a relatively low-pressure game where you have to build a castle from given parts. You'll occasionally get specific orders from the Queen and will need to build to her specifications. I like the pixel art, at least.
Ahro ($11.99)
Okay, get this. Ahro is a side-scroller with a simplified yet stylish look, and it's a metaphor for mental health issues. Anxiety and panic disorder, to be specific. The gameplay gimmick is that you can release your spirit to explore and collect goobers. I'm kind of tired of this kind of thing by now, but perhaps you're feeling more fresh about the idea.
Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports ($49.99)
Oh no, it's Game Mill. Don't expect too much. You get four sports here, including Basketball, Soccer, Golf, and Tennis. Up to four players can join in via local multiplayer, and there are nine playable Looney Tunes characters. I'm sure it's at least as competent as some of the sports games we see around the ten dollar price point on the eShop. If you really love the Looney Tunes, don't let me stop you.
Murder Is Game Over: Deal Killer ($4.99)
I guess these must be going well for Ratalaika. Another mystery for Detective Guy and his dog to solve, this time concerning the murder of an executive of a video game publisher. I choose not to read anything into that. You don't have to have played the previous games to enjoy this one, so feel free to jump in if you're interested.
Luna-3X ($9.99)
An off-beat game about a pair of heroes trying to save as many creatures as they can before the world ends in seven days. They do that, of course, by having one play the tamborine while dangling from a fishing rod held by the other. You can play alone, but this one is built for two players. One person controls the fishing rod while the other plays their instrument in rhythm to lure the creatures in. Charming and quite unique.
Arcade Archives Blast Off ($7.99)
You would think that a 1989 release from Namco in a well-worn genre that also serves as a follow-up of sorts, albeit in name only, to Bosconian would be a safe bet. Alas, Blast Off is a rather dull example of the vertical shoot 'em up genre. I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone except those are basically buying every Arcade Archives game or every shoot 'em up. A really rare total miss from this publisher, but history is history. Hamster isn't just in it to reissue the hits.
JALECOlle Famicom Ver. Bio Warrior DAN The Increaser War ($7.99)
The Earth is on the brink of total ruin, and only a time traveling bio warrior named Dan can save us! City Connection packed in a lot of extras for this one, including a new map screen, quick weapon switching, and a number of other UI improvements. The game is also fully translated into English, so that's nice. I'm really appreciating these releases so far.
Night Slashers: Remake ($9.99)
I like Night Slashers as much as the next Data East fan, but even I wouldn't have had it near the head of the list for a remake. Nevertheless, here we are. Night Slashers in a very clean, modern graphical style that is probably trying to evoke Streets of Rage 4 but not quite getting there. Still, the price is right and it's as gory and goofy a time as ever, now with support for four players. I gave my thoughts on this one yesterday in my review, so do check that out if you haven't already.
Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles ($24.99)
Hey, it's another one of these Slay The Spire/Darkest Dungeon deckbuilding turn-based roguelite things. As you can guess from the name, you'll be playing with dice in this one. It seems to have reviewed rather well on PC, and I imagine there are many Switch owners who will appreciate it as well.
The Holy Gosh Darn ($19.99)
A time traveling narrative action-adventure, with four different worlds to explore across space and time. You'll have to engage in some time shenanigans to solve the puzzles and move the story forward. I feel like this has some real potential, but I haven't had a chance to try out the demo for it yet. But hey, the demo is indeed right there. Give it a shot and see if you like it.
Bloomtown: A Different Story ($24.99)
This is a turn-based RPG with a 1960s Americana theme, and that's enough to help it stand out a little right off the hop. There's monster taming, some life sim bits, and a mystery involving two very different sides of one small town. Naturally, it's up to some kids to save the day. Early reviews on this have been positive, if not excessively so. If you're keen on the premise, you might want to look into it further.
Silver Axe - The Honest Elf ($18.99)
Another Metroidvania-style adventure for the pile. This one has a nice look to it and it's not outright terrible or anything, but in a genre this competitive I don't think it has what it takes to really stand out. It's just a bit too floaty, and the map designs don't have a nice flow to them. You might feel differently, though.
revive of the moon ($19.99)
I suppose it is almost October, isn't it? Here's a zombie action game supervised by Japanese comedian Hidetaka Kano. It's not the fanciest of dinners, but there is a certain charm to its straightforward approach. The writing is a little better than you would expect, too. I'm not very interested in zombie stuff anymore, but if I were? This might be something I'd go for.
Creepy Tale: Some Other Place ($9.99)
This little series has clearly found its audience. This is the fourth game in the series, and it tells its own little self-contained story within the fairy tale world and aesthetic that Creepy Tale is known for. Anyway, the usual business. Solve puzzles, follow the story, immerse yourself in the atmosphere. I've never been able to get into any of these, but I can at least see the appeal.
Beyond Galaxyland ($17.99)
A sci-fi RPG about a human high-schooler named Doug who, along with his guinea pig Boom Boom, narrowly escapes the destruction of Earth. Now residing in a zoo-like collection of planets called Galaxyland, Doug embarks on a quest to try to set things right. He'll meet an odd cast of characters along the way, of course. This game fits a lot of things in, including puzzles, platforming, turn-based battles, and a creature-capturing mechanic for good measure. So far reviews seem relatively good, and I'm looking forward to checking it out when I have a hot minute.
Resope! ($2.99)
It's always fun to find really low-priced games that serve as a good distraction for an evening, and Resope! is certainly one of those. There are sushi pieces trapped between wood blocks, and you need to free them. You do that by igniting the wood blocks, letting the sushi drop to the bottom. Make combos for a higher score, as one does in this kind of thing. There are a couple of extra modes here but the main one is fairly short, so be aware of that before you buy.
Anarkade ($14.99)
This genre of game feels like it has dropped off a high cliff in terms of popularity, but you still see the odd one release now and then. It's a 2D multiplayer arena shooter for up to four players, either local or online. Nothing particularly special about this one as far as I can tell, but it seems well-made for what it is.
Food Boy ($11.99)
It's like Paper Boy, except you're tossing pizzas at customers instead of newspapers. Run down any angry customers, and try to make a solid buck. Watch out for the many obstacles that will get in your way, of course. I'd rather have Paper Boy, but WB Games seems shy about sharing their old toys these days. That leaves an opportunity for games like this one, I suppose.
That's all for this week, friends. We'll be back next Saturday with another Round-Up as we make our way into October and the many games that will come with it. As ever, I will plug both my Patreon (where you can find lots of cool exclusive articles) and my Ko-Fi (tips help me run this blog). There, plugged. I hope you have a super Saturday, and as always, thanks for reading!

*KICKS DOWN YOUR DOOR* HI I HAVE MORE RAYS RAMBLES TO SHARE.
I hope i'm not bothering with more ramble because this boy gives me so many brain worms you have no idea- ANYWAY full disclaimer this is all headcanon i've got for him AND IF YOU DEEM IT NON-CANON THAT IS FINE 100% I AM FINE WITH IT! PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CORRECT ANY MISINTERPRETATIONS I'VE MADE!
SO-
I've made some slight hints toward it in my writing already and have only now worked up the courage to share it in full hjdkfg so- I'm kinda playing on a general DCA headcanon i have that DCA models mainly Sun and Moon ones need counterparts in order to basically function. Because that is how they were designed, two halves of a whole that were made to exist together.
So a Sun needs their Moon and a Moon their Sun. Or a Moon their Moon or a Sun their Sun. Eclipse's included! The main point is there's gotta be two (or more) DCA models who are 'imprinted' or 'bonded' in order to properly function (Ruin would be mostly exempt ofc due to the two being one)
NOW WHERE DOES RAYS COME INTO PLAY HERE? So as i rambled about on A03 in the comments of Canary and Crow, i had a headcanon that Rays had 'imprinted' onto Lord Eclipse because, he is technically a Sun who lost his counterpart, that being Moon. So baby Rays, fresh and new sees Eclipse - possibly still a DCA model himself before changing his form - and automatically imprints onto him!
And this ends up carrying over to KB Eclipse and again, possibly Veil too because they are both of the same/similar ai that Rays own code has logged as being his natural other half (and counterpart relations can be whatever really, siblings, friends, family, partners whatever but ofc in this situation its 100% family or siblings)
And this is why i've written Rays to be so attached to Eclipse and why he seeks his company first and foremost when he feels lonely. And again this could later extend to Veil too! (Because i have not forgotten that oneshot where Rays comforts Veil and mourns with him that broke me Shep IT BROKE ME- /pos)
Anyways thankyou for attending my ted talk i shall now disappear into the cosmos!
I love your rambles honestly- it astonishes me that I’ve made characters that people find are WORTHY of rambling about 🥹❤️ it means a lot to me that Rays means so much to some people :)
I could defiantly see Veil “imprinting” on Rays as a sort of younger brother, for sure! Veil has a lot of emotions that he doesn’t understand and Rays being so gentle and patient with him would really give him brownie points in Veil’s eyes.
The drabble with Rays and Veil mourning was meant to be a sort of introduction into how both of them are accepting that vulnerable side of themselves that they’ve tried to ignore for so long, which would foster a sense of security for Veil since he’s still learning how to let people in (he’s still ahead of Eclipse on that one though LMAO) and accept that he’s ALLOWED to be different from Eclipse. He is, quite obviously, a lot more open-minded than Eclipse is. He may not ENJOY negative emotions, but he’s willing to learn and experience them in order to become a better person.
Eclipse…is not.
The main difference between Veil and Eclipse is that Veil is actively trying to better himself, while Eclipse is doing it without realizing and still has violent, sociopathic urges that others use as reasons to avoid him or discredit the progress he HAS made. Except for Rays, which is why Eclipse has a certain fondness for him, and tries to reign in his frightening tendencies in order to stay on his “good side.”
Rays knows Eclipse is struggling with something, but is too afraid to push it or ask questions.
Eclipse wants to do better for Rays, so he keeps his problems to himself in order to avoid scaring him.
Veil wants to understand himself in order to prove he can be different from Eclipse.
It all goes in cycles between the three, which is why their dynamic is going to be so interesting and unique when their arc begins later on, after Veil is introduced into the main storyline.
Do with this what you will :)

Deity partnership breaks
Hello all, today didn’t start off great for me. Besides the fact I only got 20 mins of sleep. A spirit of mine dropped the news that our partnership needs to take a long pause.
He gave his reasoning and I respect that (although I wish I made different decisions regarding us). This deity came into my life a few months ago but it feels as though we’ve known each other for an eternity. The connection was so raw, unfiltered, something I hadn’t experienced before. I hold him dear to me, as he does me.
A pause or closing to a deity ship can be hard. However, I keep in mind that it’s for my own betterment and everything my deities do is in my favor. So yes, I’m sad to see him go (especially since he told me to rid my space of his energy). We’ll always have a special place for each other. He’s one of the many homes I have where I feel safe. This isn’t a ‘goodbye’ it’s a ‘goodbye for now’.
Writing this, I bite back tears. It’s truly not that bad I’m just still a bit in shock about it lol. Anyways, I hope this reaches the people it needs to and let this be a reminder. It’s okay to branch out, grow out of deities, humans, hobbies etc. it’s all apart of growth so don’t be hard on yourself for that.
Enjoy your solar eclipse! 💕

Ok so, I ask a lot about our favorite boi (Centi... my Beloved...) however I was wondering if you have any interesting thoughts about other characters in the castle (Which, assuming is similar to canon and is only Sunvent).
As a result I have three big questions! One, which is based on almost every universe having eclipse drinking massive amounts of tea, does he like tea/ can eat? Two, does he interact with the world's inhabitants outside of when eclipse does, and does he enjoy it when he does (even if eclipse is there?)
finally three, since in most AU it is explained that the reason eclipse isn't rotting from the star power is because he is using something else as a conduit (a servant, since every surviving lord has a servant). does eclipse use sun as a conduit system, and how do you head canon that effects him?
if these are completely irrelevant its totally fine if you can only answer one or two (or if you just feel like answering a bit of this, I'm just happy to brain rot in the Centi box)
Anyway here is this as ask box rent
DEAR BELOVED MUTUAL JUSTAFUNKYDUDE DID U KNOW U R MY LIFEBLOOD. I ADORE ALL UR WORLDBUILDING QUESTIONS IT FILLS ME WITH AN ENDLESS JOY
1) I think technically Lord Eclipse could eat/drink (nanobots and/or star power stuff) but I think he simply chooses not to unless it's for dramatic effect, yk? (hence the lack of mouth) Like, I drew him with a wine glass one time, but it was definitely just for dramatic effect and to seem like he's "casual" in the situation rather than to actually enjoy it LOL
2) I'm assuming you mean Sunvant here and in that case: yes, he does actually interact with the other followers a good bit and yes, I'd say he usually enjoys it(and probably especially with Lord Eclipse there)! Or, like, during the earlier years at least. Since Sun was basically Lord Eclipse's right-hand, he was regarded with as much respect as Eclipse himself! His very presence was like a morale boost LOL
But, I think that as Lord Eclipse started to become less and less sociable, Sun started to be recognized less as "the saint" and more "the favorite" which led to colder or outright cruel treatment from some. He still goes out and interacts with other people, but a good outing is no longer defined by how many people he helps and instead by how many people don't outright taunt him </3
3) OH YESYES I'VE HEARD OF THAT IDEA !!! Anima Sola was my first introduction to the concept and it is so cool to me LMAO 🙏 I don't think Sunvant is used as a conduit in this world tho?? Maybe. I dunno that might be subject to change now actually LOL
I feel like if Centiclipse did use Sun in such a way, there wouldn't be too too much change?? or. well. mmm??? Not too much change in the dynamic, but maybe a bit of change in what is focused on, if that makes any sense.
Lord Eclipse telling Sun that if he wants to stay his servant and hold onto such a power, then he needs to act like it(not that he would ever get rid of Sun, he needs him too much). Sun being horrified at his own fantasies of finding a way to rip out the connection between him and Eclipse. OOO maybe certain dissenters would try to kill Sun in hopes of taking down Eclipse.....
I dunno, I'll definitely say it's fun to entertain!! It's almost a dlc sorta idea! It just adds on to what was already there and makes it a little more angsty LOL
#asks#justafunkydude#no id#TY FOR THE RENT ALSO I AM SO OBSESSED W/ IT HEJABAJAHD#i hope these answers suffice. if im being totally honest i make half of my answers up on the spot HEJAHAJD#i love answering questions like these tho bc stars know i'd never fully think abt it otherwise HEJAHSJD#long post#xero thoughts and rambles#lord eclipse au#lord eclipse#servant sun#centiclipse#sunvant

I have today and tomorrow off and it's really so weird because I'm not used to them being in a row 😭 but then I'm scheduled six days straight after that soo
i keep getting tiktoks about Book of Life and I wanna rewatch that so bad because it's one of my favorite movies. I don't know if it'd fit but I love putting my favorite characters into other media i enjoy (crossovers technically?) so i keep imagining mc and Mammon as Manolo and Maria. And then probably Solomon as Joaquin, just because he's my other favorite.
but Manolo literally sings "heaven knows your name, I've been praying" while trying to serenade Maria and it gets me every time. I have the perfect mental image to redraw that scene with Mammon and Mc but I can't put it on paper so AAAA
anyway i wanted to ask if you had any movie recs or anything because I don't know what to do with myself other than read all day tomorrow. OH AND ALSO IF YOU WERE GONNA WATCH THE ECLIPSE, A COWORKER GAVE ME GLASSES WHICH I WAS HAPPY ABOUT
- ✨ anon
I hope you enjoy your days off! I think it's always nice to have multiple days in a row... due to be an office gremlin, I always get the two regular weekend days off. I kinda have to use Saturday as a reset day because I'm so exhausted from the week lol. So it's nice to have that extra day for other things! (Usually chores in my case.)
Anyway, I had to look up The Book of Life because I have never heard of it before now. It sounds good! I definitely think you should rewatch it. And yeah, I think that's kinda how it goes with art? You've got the vision in your mind but the hands cannot replicate it. It can be like that with writing, too. It's just trying to convey to someone else the picture you see in your mind and it never comes out the same.
But it's definitely fun to do crossover ideas, like putting characters in other stories. I had a feverish few days obsessing over which Obey Me characters would be who in a King Arthur AU. It's just really interesting to consider how their personalities would change the story, you know? (Not me also kinda thinking about a LOTR AU kadsfkl.)
I'm afraid I may not be the best person to ask for movie recs? I don't watch a lot of movies. Generally I have the attention span problem lol. I do watch them occasionally, like I finally watched Knives Out & Glass Onion which I totally loved. But I suppose it also depends on what sorta genre you're into... I suppose those are like murder mystery style but they're also just very funny. Dang I'm trying to think of other movies I've watched recently but yeah there's not a lot... the most recent thing I've watched is Dungeon Meshi/Delicious in Dungeon on Netflix which is so so good. I know it's like the tumblr rage right now, but I'm really loving it.
Though due to my inability to watch current movies, I have a lot of older classics that I like. Monty Python and the Holy Grail comes to mind immediately. I also love the old school Clue movie it's so good. And I'm a huge fan of Studio Ghibli movies, so any of those, but I know a lot of peeps have already seen them. Other older animated movies from my childhood like The Road to El Dorado and The Emperor's New Groove and Anastasia. Oh and of course I'm a huge fan of all the Lord of the Rings movies but I know that can be kind of a commitment. I also liked Pan's Labyrinth, The Birdcage, Coco (if you wanna CRY), The Boondock Saints (uh very bloody this one though), and I always kinda had a thing for martial arts movies like I love Legend of the Drunken Master lol but also Hero and of course the classic Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (there's a sequel on Netflix that was also very good). Oh and I did see Everything Everywhere All At Once which I really enjoyed!
Er so I guess that's more than I thought lol. But there are a lot of times when people will be like you haven't seen X movie!?! And I just hafta be like... I don't watch movies a lot, sorry??
As for the eclipse, I am not going to be watching it because I don't have protective eye wear and my eyesight is already terrible. I didn't realize it was happening until like today oops. I did see part of the last one... I think that happened a handful of years ago? I can't quite remember when it was, but I did experience it!
Anyway, I don't know how helpful any of this was, but I hope you enjoy your time off either way!
